It would be a smart signing, I thought Crichtons contract was finally sorted, would be funny though the Roosters go through all the trouble over 6 months to fit him in and sign the contract, only for him to request a release.

only way douhie would be released would be if by some chance we were signing

George Williams for 2023 and paying a transfer fee but very doubtful.

Panthers wont release Crighton, they have shown even if players have signed for another club they keep them ie. Burton and Api

If Laurie was to play in the halves he’d have to put on 5-7kg muscle minimum … I couldn’t imagine him making 20+ tackles a game in his current frame

papi and Bateman can be minders like all other teams have, second rowers who actually help the halves tackle when traffic is run at them, unlike what we have had for the last 4 years or so

For years we haven’t had a decent defensive 2nd rower … brooks makes a dozen more tackles than he is supposed to because of this

Hopefully that’ll change next year
