Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

That assumes Josh was fit enough to play (I'm assuming the coach doesn't talk tactics with the Rehab Group) or he didn't get a tad chilly sitting on the sidelines AGAIN! If I was Josh and my life was the shitshow his was I'd probably just sit quietly in the corner hoping no-one noticed me.
Crawling up to the new coach to get a gig?
Josh plays one way… nothing will change that.

A red line through Talau's name a tad early I feel. Not saying he should start round 1, but think he has a lot to offer.

Maybe but the problem is he along with Blore have been talked up by Sheens and it's stupid. These guys need to prove themselves in reserves and when they show they can defend and attack then they should get their shot.

Blore can defend. He is one of the better defenders I've seen especially considering he is learning the game. His line running is also one of the worst I've seen.

Talau has made some decent hit-ups but he is miles away from being ready and he needs to develop his game.

He was very poor, imo, in the trial.
Albeit he is probably rusty from lack of game time.

I think backrow in cup, see what he can do.
He isn't a guaranteed starter in grade, for mine.
I think the lack of match fitness in some of these boys makes them look tardy? Particularly with Blore and Talau who have not played in a while? Talau was never up with the rhythm of that game, but he does have talent. They can get their fitness playing cup.

I don’t know how you can slot someone into game 1 who hasn’t played for 500 odd days and looked well off the pace against trialists/reserve/dev players.

TT isn’t a game breaker either. It would be high risk low reward approach if we did it. Play him in Reggie's for a month and see how he responds.

Absence makes the heart grown fonder they say....

I honestly don't know where all this hype on Talau comes from - It's gotta be his last name?

He might come on, I've seen nothing in his time to suggest he's any better than the likes of To'a and all the other Reserve grade backs we have....
There's been talk of him ending up in back row - I've never seen enough spine in him to make a fist of that either....
His defence on the weekend was woeful, Hopefully it's a timing thing - He was so far out of the line I think he didn't wanna be there...
Made Scolari look much worse than he actually is... When the inside man is that erratic and clueless - Nothing good is going to happen on your edge...

Not swapping Talau for The Fox is a real defining moment in our dour last couple years....
should have been told like mansour was at Penrith you either head to Melbourne or you will be spending plenty of time with reserve grade

I was really disappointed with Talau in that trial, expected more. I think a few weeks in Cup will help to shake the rust and he will be back in the top 17.
Me too.

Though I think he was over-reading, with Wakeham on his inside and Scolari on his outside. Edges need to be a unit and I'd say that edge would've been pretty unfamiliar with each other.
