This forum is descending into one big whingefest. Why don't one of you complaining windbags go and start a "Wests Tigers Bashing Forum" and keep it all there…

It is a forum not everyone has the same opinion, I have supported wests/weststigers for just on 50 years, and if I or any one else wants to whinge so be it.. Try not reading it if it upsets you so much, the fans just want the club to be successful and can see one bad decision after another, and that is why they complain.

I'd like to see us go after Whare and Milne….I'm sure Kev will end up in superleague once the season ends, was suppose to happen this year but a deal fell through in the last minute

I have been saying for us to target these 2 since round 1, Milne is stuck in reggies and would not cost a lot, and Whare has lot of competition at the panthers, they would be very handy.

100% agree

We praise them when they play well so they need to take the criticism when they play bad

We whinge because we are passionate about our team

Just because you and your ex bestie, JT, didn't rate him doesn't mean others are of the same view. If he keeps on playing well, someone of his size and ability is always useful.

Taylor was a diabolically bad coach. Maybe one of the worst ever. To think he had Addo-Carr in reserve grade whilst playing Rankin still makes me feel sick.

Unfair call bro. I feel your frustration but Jt made sacrifices to make the club cap free for 2018 that should not be forgotten especially when he is not than man to benefit from it.

What did that have to do with the team selections he made every week? JAC was available all last year and he put Rankin in ahead of him. Why? He also had Siro and Farah in reserve grade while Lovett and Halatau started. That wasn't cap related, that was just stupidity.

Lovett and Siro both played city origin last year. Lovett outplayed Siro completely. Think some people need to take the Rose coloured glasses off, and realise that a surname of Sironen does not necessarily make someone a good player worthy of rep selection.
There must really be some nostalgia kicking in for fans this weekend as a Sironen plays one good game in 5 weeks and all of a sudden he is a tigers legend, and an example of poor recruitment and retention.
If he backs it up with similar performances in 8 of his next 10 games, I will humbly apologise.

Agree

I rated Milne when he was playing first grade last year and he played some good footy too,he won't get a crack in first grade at the saints unless a injury occurs, would be a cheap pick up while Whare would cost abit more but also would be a good addition.

Those selections werent just stupid, they were sabotage. He had vendettas that held precedence over team success.

Agree 100%

Vendettas? So he was purposely selecting "bad players" to take revenge on certain other players, in spite of or at risk of losing matches? He was sabotaging the team at risk of his own career?

I've seen some wild accusations here but that is up there. You guys are just making this up, what pure nonsense.

Seriously give me even a shred of support for this apart from what you think you are viewing on the footy field. Anything, give me any skerrick of legit info that you saw or heard, or even that somebody told you, apart from your weekly review of the team roster and your own wild imagination.

So despite dumping Siro and Farah to reserves for performance issues (perceived by coach, not necessarily with agreement from all fans), the fact that he didn't dump Rankin and Halatau and Lovett as well means he had vendettas against the players he dumped, but not the players he kept (that you obviously don't rate)?

There are a few things you have overlooked.

* JAC was not in the Top 25 and there were 2nd-tier cap issues for him to play firsts.
\

* Rankin was the incumbent winger and goal-kicker from 2015; JAC was only signed for 2016
\

* Tigers wanted to keep JAC but Storm fielded a superior offer which he accepted, then he tried to get out of it but the 10-day cooling off had expired and Tigers could not retain him without a penalty payment to Storm. Considering we were in salary cap trouble at the start of this year, it's clear we didn't have the spare money to make a bigger offer for JAC.

By all means have a rant, but please try just a little to make it an informed and constructive rant.

If you expect people to make effort you should probably get your info correct as well.

Rankin was the incumbent of nothing from 2015 as he didn't begin playing for us until 2016\. He arrived at the same time as JAC. Also he didn't begin kicking goals for us until round 6\. Moses was our kicker to begin the year.

The "one good game in 5 weeks" is one more than Lovett has played in the last 5 years. He's completely and utterly hopeless.

Played alright in the city country game last year when surrounded by decent players. Was prepared to get in do the dirty work in the middle while big Siro was hiding one in from the wing waiting for the ball.

Haven't been here since last season but except for the JT sacking nothing much has changed. It seems that the supporters are still waiting for the magical move that will see the Tigers lift their game. It will be interesting to see where this discussion is at come the end of the season. I'm sure the coach will be a major topic however it goes. No amount of great coaching is going to overcome the lack of heart that some of the players possess. Less razzle dazzle from players like Moses might be a good starting point though.

And yet he's without a club next year and we don't see many teams lining up to bring him into their squad. Strange huh?

You must be his manager to know the answer to that.

Not everyone. There are a few of us who rate Curtis and his ability to be creative. JT loved the five hit ups and the defensive bomb which is not conducive to creative rl.

I was a Sirro' supporter he had all the tools, his fist contact is really good, but let's face it his creativeness cost us a lot more games than it won us. He was going nowhere fast. clear case of where being in the boys club was detrimental. Good luck to him at manly, there is nothing worse than wasted talent. He has had to go back to zero and earn his stripes for once in his life, could be the making of him as a player.

True but cap still sorted for next year which is great for us.

Looking back now I think Taylor was clearly brought in to change the culture, that meant playing players who were doing the right things at training over some others and breaking down the boys club Farah/sirro.

The new coach now has clean air and a full salary ca at his disposal somethibg Taylor never had. Also I believe some of the structures put in place through the Taylor era will start to bare fruit.

That said Taylor made some poor coaching decisions, decisions that are hard to explain to the board and hence why he had to go

Fair enough, I went from memory for Rankin, I thought Taylor brought him in first season, I was wrong! My point about him being a kicker stands, he took over from Moses due to that groin injury, then JAC debuted in Round 7.

Exactly Larry…. I dont think Siro's upswing in form has as much to do with better coaching as it does being the first time in his playing career being in a system where his surname doesnt have as much clout.

Im afraid he may just be one of the players we had to let go to see what he was capable of, for no fault of his or our own. He was too insulated here to figure out what he was made of.

Haha can you see your house from on top of that horse? Try taking your own advice stats man

I dont think there is much doubt Sirro needed to leave to possibly reach his potential.I just hope his brother does not have the same problem as i feel he is the more level headed of the 2 and the better prospect
