Well maybe we should be questioning our management and new coach….our forward pack got beat up in numerous games this year.....yet an club like the Bulldogs with apparent cap problems can secure harawera and nappa.....unfortunately were an amature organization

They lost Klemmer and Mbye. I don't think that you can state that Canterbury are looking like a better run club than we are.

We've improved our pack a fair bit by singing Matterson and Musgrove.

We really just need a quality left centre but we do have Fonua and Momirovski to fill that role.

Agree ….. Napa is an downgrade and possibly on quite a few extra dollars (than what Klemmer was on) from what I understand.

Yeah it's a ridiculous comment really. We didn't get Harawira-Naera we signed someone better in Matterson, how amateurish. And yeah they signed Napa (who is an overpriced dud)…because they managed to lose the best go-forward prop in the game in Klemmer. Clearly we're amateurs and the Dogs are all over us :unamused:

There's a possibility that this whole Shaun Johnson / Gareth Widdop saga could play out badly for WT. Warriors will be looking for a half for 2019 and beyond. If Brooks hasn't signed with WT he could receive a late offer from them. What half wouldn't enjoy playing behind a pack like they have and I'd imagine the Warriors could top our offer quite handsomely.
I get it that Luke is a loyal young man, a move to NZ is a big move and it's possible that he has already signed an extension with us but it's still a possibility. Although Luke is tied to us for 2019 we know early releases occur more and more these days.
I hope I'm wrong and that Luke is already tied to us for the long term but things are getting a little crazy with player movements at the moment and nothing it seems is beyond the realms of possibility.

A move away from family would be huge. While maybe a slim chance, if the club hasn't locked him up already, he doesn't seem like a brash ego driven bloke that would do something like that. As soon as you move clubs for $$$ in a position like the halves, you're in the spotlight, and consequently, the crosshairs.

But you never know what Issac is whispering into his ear. Thankfully he pushed his manager aside last time and signed with the Tigers.

The Warriors would need to unload a dump truck of cash on Brooks doorstep to get him over there. That's a pretty big lifestyle change. I'm not too concerned about them. They probably already have their replacement. They wouldn't have released SJ otherwise.

Everything you'ver said is correct and I'm only speculating on the possibilities. I hope he stays but you just raised another facet that might be a factor. Moses manages Brooks and I believe I read somewhere he manages Kearney too. Maybe Kearney gets into Moses ear about luring Luke across. Equally, he could be interested in the other Moses if Parramatta are shopping him around. Enough now, I'm going to stop speculating and wait for reality.

I think people are sleeping on Brooks to the Dragons.

They paid Ben Hunt a fortune, our boy Luke and his greedy little manager will be all over them looking for a big chunk of change.

Don't know HT , really like the look of the fill in half they used when Johnson was injured last season , didn't they win 2/3 when he played , beat the Saints who were the in form side from memory

Maybe Kearney thinks he is a better fit ….

The other point with Johnson is he is like Benji , once the extra yard of pace he has goes ......that's it he will be almost finished

If you are talking about Mason Lino he has signed with the Knights.

this is hillarious

nrl needs a trading window. if you wanna go outside the window, then you gotta pay a fine to the nrl even if all parties agree.

Dragons saying they won't release him, who are they kidding. No one is held to contracts anymore. Was only yesterday the Warriors denied SJ's release. Today they give it to him. Contracts lol.

Contracts LOL indeed.

IC - I am contracted to the tigers

something something hit by a something

Interesting player go round at the moment. The NRL surely has to do something about this and bring some organization and process to this unholy mess. Several issues - cap management (how can clubs sign player and register contract with NRL when it takes them over cap in certain years?), the worth of contracts now, player trading between clubs either initiated by club or player without giving other clubs opportunity to bid and this all just happening any time a club or player feels like it. NRL needs to bring some structure and sanity to this mess. I'm not asking too much am l? I know it's a forlorn wish.

Mole saying Johnson only available for 1 year as has committed somewhere to 2020\. Implies the 2020 club not ready to take him now.

Kiwi refugees always were attracted to Bondi, so you don't need to be a brain surgeon to work out whats happening. SJ will sign for the Sharks for a year, pushing Moylan back to no1 than in 2020 b Barba comes back to the shire and SJ moves onto Bondi.

I have the inside word that Shaun Johnson has signed with Wests Tigers for 2020 replacing Benji Marshall!!! Unsure what this means for Reynolds.

Inside word means words from inside my own head…

Guess what fellas….

Michael Lichaa is now available with Doggies telling him he's free to go and opting to roll with JMK instead.

Looks like we've got out HOOKER position covered now.

Robbie can play #13

And here I was Tarl about to reply to your "inside work" when I noticed your last sentence. Oh well.
By the way, there are some meds you can get to help with the 'voices'.

We should just start doing paper bag deals.
What’s the worse that happens?
We get caught once in a blue moon and get a slap on the wrist.
If the sharks escape without severe punishment then the precedent is set in my mind.
We should do the same and get some big game players to concord.
I don’t like cheating but if playing by the rules means we fall behind, than I’m all for the paper bag contracts.

No, a club like Wests will get fined $5m, stripped of 26 points for the following three seasons and wear a $2m cap penalty for five years.

Hahaha that’s so true.
