I'd be interested to see where the better offers would come from. Most of the teams that usually throw big money around are well and truly covered at fullback. Roosters - Tedesco, Manly - Turbo, Knights - Ponga, Cronulla - Moylan/Dugan, Saints - Dufty/Norman, Penrith - Edwards/DWZ, Souths -Johnston, Storm - Hughes/Munster.

North Queensland desperately need a decent fullback and could probably offer good money, but would Gutho want to move up there? Same with the Titans. I guess the only other team in need of a good fullback would be the Bulldogs, but I think they might still have some cap issues.

I honestly think he will stay at Parramatta anyway, but they will have bite the bullet and offer him more because he is definitely worth it.
 
I think we need to look closely at moving Mbye, Reynolds, McQueen on. We won’t win with this squad and these players are overpaid. All for different reasons but hard decisions will have to be made. They are good enough players for some sides to take on.

People don’t see it now but Cleary went short term fix for credibility bug long terms we don’t have huge cap room an an average roster.
 
Sadly to attract players to a club that has finished out of the finals for a very long time, you have to offer silly money and long deals. By getting rid of these guys, who are we going to replace them with.

I agree it would be good to be able to move a few contracts on, but they have to be replaced and players are not jumping at us
 
I would say Madge partly has his eye on the future with the likes of Talau, Madden, Cini transitioning into the side rather than buying another marquee player prior. Who knows. I still think the side we have can improve this season.
 
Agree. The roster is better than last year as is the coaching. I said it last year Matterson will be the best signing since Gareth Ellis. They may come good but I see Reynolds, Brooks, Mbye as running five eights.

Matterson signing highlighted value in good players stuck behind stars at strong clubs.
Blayke Brayley, Braden Uele, Tui Kumikaica, Patrick Mago, Christian Welch are similar free agents in 2019\. We missed Nick Meaney who is cheaper and more upside than Mbye.
 
Those players named haven't even played canter cup yet. If they are our big hopes we could be waiting for years. I hope with a new coach he has come in and sees the weaknesses our squad and buys replacements quickly. Enough of trying to wait for juniors to come good.
 
There has been a rumour linking him to us i have no idea if it has any credibility or just someone hoping it to be true.I suspect the latter
 
Mybe might bounce back but he has been nothing but a plodder this season. Jordan Rankin would offer more.

If Gutherson is a chance make it happen then deal with Mybe later
 
ISP lost today 6 to 52\. It doesn't augur well for our current ISP players to reach first grade. Don't forget that we still the CAP money from the Musgrove removal plus more. I say buy a couple of more decent players with this money and spend up big after the expected exodus of players whose contracts finish 2019..
 
Pretty harsh to write off a guy who was pretty much our best player after coming on board last season. He’s clearly carrying a bit of an injury.

Then why is he playing?

This is a new team, new coach and new season. His input into 2019 is plodder level.

And for the record i havent written him off, i was very clear in saying he may bounce back. Thing is i would jump at the Gutherson upgrade then worry about the rest later.
 
Mbye has all the tools but he doesn’t have impact. Lacks urgency seems disinterested he needs to have a crack Corey Thompson is an inferior athlete but more productive a
