With so much cap room, has there been a better time than now to shift players by paying out a portion of their contract to play elsewhere? Maybe instead of big money signings, it's moderate signings with us shifting higher priced reserves away from the club next year?

Some people's time span is extremely short!
Just several years back, we had Tedesco, Koroibete, JAC, Simona, and Lawrence with Farah and Marshall but no forwards!
The forward's value, for us, is demonstrated right there for anyone who argues, "Just buy us several wingers", and presto!
People forget that all champion teams had at least two to three 1st class props and other forwards >> WT forwards!
The house's quality relies on its foundations, and the addition of any AC and satellite internet could not improve its quality!

Anyways, I reached out to a few of them who have been watching over Payne Haas's mum & she's told them that he'll be signing for us next season on a 5 year deal !!! Apparently when Benji was at Brisbane he took Haas under his wing & was a good mentor for him. How good is that 🔥🔥🔥

We would need to go higher than 800k. Bula is on 800k ffs. The best winger in the world will want 900k, and that's fair enough.

We need to change the culture at the club, releasing losers and signing winners is how we do that.

We don't have many/any other players on big money long term, most clubs have 2-3 players on close to a million. You want to have a few elite players and then some cheapies to round out the 30. Having a squad full of Nadens, Toa's and Staine's on 350-400k kills the club. Having Too on 900k + Saukuru on 150k is so much better than having Naden Toa and Staines for the same value.

Of course we just need to release the deadwood, yet again.

800K... WOW!!! that's gotta buy a lot of lattes on the high falutin Balmain/Rozelle coffee strip.
And I hope those coffees help him to perform at a higher level in '25 to show us he is worth the $$$ he is being paid.

I also like all the posts about how much better we're gonna be next year, With a few more runs behind the squad.
I'm betting Klemmer, Twal, Bateman & Api don't progress next year - And they had their arse handed to them this year.
For every player going forward in the top 17, There's one going backward....
Young blokes will have to really come on to negate that.
