Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

lol he was part of those who were grilled for putting on weight in the off season and coming back less fit.
I'd say the poster is drawing a long bow.,
He reakons that we are only being hard on who we wanna get rid of and if we wanted to keep Latu he wouldn’t have failed this 😭

And so he should have been,
Media conveniently overlooking the fact he's been Injured for the best part of the last 18 months...
at 18-19, if anyone should be looking to be in top shape - it should be him.

Don’t tell me that’s the first you have realised this blatant bias by the NRL towards their beloved donkeys. One major city club with it’s own major stadium, only play on Friday nights so it easier for fans, and sponsors, more profitable, prime time for tv, full weekend off or recovery for players, etc, etc.
You can sign a sponsor telling them they get PT TV almost every week and players saying you get most weekends off with your fam instead of working.
The ease with which you can then set your club routine up with minimal disruptions.
It’s a fkn armchair ride through the comp.
I blacklisted their games about 10years ago.
Good points, have never paid attention to any other teams scheduling tbh

The slowness of this Ezra Mam stuff is crazy, broncos or nrl haven't come down with any proper route ahead...

I'm starting not to mind the depth (Bit skinny in the spine)
With the last few buys being 1-17 Players, It will no doubt push a few of the 1-17 from the last few years back to cup - Where some of them should always have been.
Yeah improving but still going to regret upgrading all those development deals.

Plenty there to not like too much, but playing back up in reserve grade can sometimes help with some movement as well...
(That's where we've done our shopping the last however many years)

As many homies as he has here,
I look at another 3 years on very good coin for Twal who hit his ceiling long ago as deflating.
He's the guy that signs 1-2 yr deals at good clubs. We give him a marquee spot...
I don't see him in my 17 next year.
Hoping Richo gets the balance between that sort of deal and gift spots to unproven kids right - Better at least.

the depth is improving though. apart from the backrow we look much better in comparison to past years. still some work to do but at least we won't be one injury away from disaster, providing it isn't Luai.
That’s the thing. If Luai or Api go down, we’re probably still bottom four. Obviously the kids are still an unknown this year. I wouldn’t be getting too carried away but with a good run with injuries we’ll win more games.

Even if Luai gets injured for a couple of weeks it's not even too bad considering where we were 2 years ago.

1. Latu straight in at half
2. Bud's still here for the time being
3. Api to half TDS to hooker
4. Galvin to half, Mason to 5/8
5. AD into the halves

2 years ago it was Brooks and AD starting with back ups of:

1. Wakeham
2. Will Smith
3. Api to Half with Simpkin & Matamua sharing hooker
4. Starford Toa to 5/8
😂

I'm less worried if Api goes down given TDS is pretty capable, but if we were to lose Luai as you say we'll be in plenty of strife. he's pretty durable, but it would be typical WT luck if we were to lose him for an extended period.

Most clubs that make the 8 don't have great depth just more luck with critical injuries. Not everybody has depth like the pamfers storm and rorters.
Agreed. The top teams spend most of their cap on their top 17 and have very little depth. Even the Roosters have guys like Junior Pauga in their top 30 who IMO is worse than Faatape who is on a development contract with us.

Second row is the main concern and depends what happens with Bateman. Assuming we move him on I'd hope we'd replace him with another edge player.
