Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I think the maximum preferred amount of time off training is 2 weeks for elite athletes . Then there’s a clear drop off. To be fair though this data is taken from premier league players , who don’t have to go through multiple car crash equivalent tackles every week .
I think he will get that over the Xmas break .
Im referring to him training for marathons in his spare time.
The body needs to not be under constant strain.
We will expect a lot from him next year.

Yes but you are missing my point...we need to manage him properly this off season.
He is very keen to rip in - partly driven by revenge.
He is a chance of over doing it with the marathon stuff after a huge 2024 where he played 29 games.
Benji's man management needs to be on point.
May already said his man management is what attracted him straight away.

Do you discuss the minutiae of your individual employment contract details with your at-level colleagues?

If you do - maybe check your company HR manual because it is likely a breach of the mutual-commercial confidentiality of your contract!
It is NOT illegal or Contrary Code to discuss Salary with peers or colleagues,

Certainly Not Smart.

This was leaked by someone with inside info who wants to hurt the club.

I would caution him to not go too hard too early. He seems pissed and maybe a bit embarrassed that the Roosters have rejected him after he put in a very solid year for them. Never missed a game, averaging good minutes and returning damn fine results.
Harness that anger and disappointment, dont let it consume him. We need him to put in 24 games for us next year, not 17 + a few suspensions...
Only 24 games, surely he gets a run when the finals come around.

I listened to the May poddy last night seems an impressive bloke i must admit my ears did prick up when he talked about running a marathon. But the alternative to that is he could be sitting on his lounge eating doritos. Something in the middle is probably ideal but you can't micro manage every second of a players life.

Was very surprised to hear the comments about Benji, his man management and previous association with him being an attraction, but no mention of Jarome being a factor in his decision to sign with us.

Definitely has a very close association and fascination for his younger brother, sounds like playing with him at Wests Tigers (or anywhere for that matter) would be pretty high up on his wish list.

I see your point man. Running is very taxing on the body. I just think of guys like Nick Diaz who would run daily. His gas tank won him alot of fights it's a marathon not a sprint

In the fair dinkum stakes, he's a $600k investment whose loads will need to be managed like anybody else.

If Moussa et al get a hold of him soon, I'm positive there won't be too many marathons on his conditioning tip sheet.

Out of interest, how many km would an 80 minute front rower run in a match?

35 sets up 10 and back 10 is around 3.5km in defence and add a few more metres for attack.

Is my maths right?
