WARREN JUNIOR FLEES TIGERS

Chris Warren has joined the Sea Eagles to head up its new-look communications team.

Warren, the son of legendary rugby league commentator Ray, left his job at the Tigers before Christmas to take up a similar position with Manly.

Warren, who played five games for the Magpies, replaces Manly’s popular long-term media manager Wayne Cousins.

JUST SAW THIS.. I'm a little confused as this appears to be sudden.

I think there is a good opportunity to refresh the Online Content in particular the cringed BTR podcasts.
Did he leave us with Fleas?

Fainu has all the makings to be a clone of Olakau’atu or Elise Katoa, but it’s too early for him to be our senior edge player. I’d still put Bird on the other edge with Pole at lock. Easier on Bird’s body, and it plugs a hole where we need one plugged.
I kinda wonder if the edge is easier on the body.

I was really thinking you could have 2 hookers, i.e. Api starts at 9 with a decent lock (whomever). Then that lock comes off and TDS steps up at 9 with Api falling to Lock OR getting a quick break.
Bird could fit that role too as he has played spine positions before.

Although I think Bird offers his best on the bench. We can play him in the Centers, Spine or second row at a pinch. Just really solid Utility cover value, that's 3 spots covered in one player.

Lets face it with Hunt playing limited minutes, we will likely need 2x props.
Ofcourse that leaves the second 2RF spot. Samuela is a lock-in and I think Seyfarth will take the other spot. ... but its really hard to fit the people together. Benji must believe in Tumeth.

Tumeth is a lightweight can’t see him getting any where near 1st grade , really surprised that the club didn’t pay him out and open up another spot

Same size as Cameron Murray btw..without the speed and athletism or motor
Exercised his player option for this year.likely because of no market interest...but won't get many options to showcase his talent IMO

I'm willing to give Naden a go. If the reports are true that he's come back and knuckled down, then that's the type of response you want from a player. He won the NSW Cup player of the year playing less than half the season in reserve grade, so it doesn't seem as though he kicked stones.

He's another year older, maybe another year wiser (or just wised up more accurately), and he realises he's near the end. Make a fist of it. If he can keep his head screwed on, his physical ability is an asset.
The report from Richo that Naden is training the house down is simply sending a message to potential suitors to have a lookn at Naden....If Naden sees any FG for the WT this year we are in trouble.....

Right centre maybe & Skelly wing. He had a cracking
game for maori vs indigenous on that side a few
years ago & had been given a look in by all accounts
I'm not against it, let's see what happens with Nado

I think everyone can agree that Naden has the talent. He has speed, skill, size and is pretty good defensively (better than all our other centres). So if he fixes his attitude and discipline and shows that at the start of the season in cup, why wouldn't you want him in the first grade team eventually?

He would probably be our best centre on paper IF he fixed his deficiencies. Happy for the club to hold on to him to give him the opportunity to show that. At worst, he's good for depth for a season.

At the very least he provides good utility backup value.
He had some decent games for the Magpies in the halves last year.
