If GC are chipping in 400k for us to take Fifita

Thats 600k over 3 years

Put 600k in this years cap and pay him 400k each for the next 3

Can’t go wrong really and we are running out of time to use our cap space for this year

can score a try but his defence is rhe problem hence why roosters are letting him go

IMO we have our 2 wingers, 1 centre, fullback, halfback, hooker, starting props and 1 starting second rower sorted. We should be recruiting around these players.

Lock, second row are where we need to recruit. Probably a centre too but need room for Makasini.

Young is none of those things despite his talent.

I don’t think Young is a winger. He carries the ball poorly out of trouble, bad under the high ball, and not good laterally in space. Could be a freak with another 8kgs in the back row though.

I like Dom Young (sounds like an item off a Chinese menu), but gotta remember he has a say in where he goes. I doubt he is leaving the roosters to come to the tigers to play reserve grade. I also think benji wouldn't drop either Tito or Skelton as both of them seem to have fully bought into the team culture. Young will go somwhere with a guarantee to play first grade.

While we are learning of these releases now, I am sure Richardson and co would have known for some time. Our targets would have been locked in and we won't learn of them until the club announces them.

Yes if the talk that we have signed 2 or 3 players this would have been in the back ground for a few weeks prior to Richo saying we have signed players on the pod cast so maybe 6 or so weeks back , Fafita , Young I doubt , Smith not what we need , I would say these signings will be players just nudging first grade , I don’t expect to see 2 or 3 players from current nrl starting spots , maybe 1 maybe , Richo and Benji know what we need and it’s not a huge amount of gain that will bolster us we are 3/4 there ( May , ? , ? ). That’s my idea

• Possible recruitment of a 37 yo half to replace a talented young half.
• Two star backs prefer to play rugby union
• Bad record of guys retiring with head injuries

Sadly even with all their dumb decisions you have highlighted they will be a top four club again maybe as soon as next year. They will just go out and buy key players to fill the gaps. They actually have some really good young players starting to hit their straps.

Can’t stand them and agree the press as usual are ignoring their failings but that will never change

Before coming to the WTs , Manly lower grades he was playing middle. I have a feeling last year he might have played a few games on the left edge. Could be wrong though. Not sure where Fifita is heading but if it is the WTs. Until combinations are formed I’d start Fifita off the bench coming on at the 20 min mark with a direction to be high impact. Rather than hanging out on an edge and waiting for the ball to come to him.

As soon as blocker supported Luai over Moses in origin selection, he was losing it.

That's what I think. If we sign Fifita, obviously he has to have left side, as long as Sam is happy for right side I am keen as! I think Fifita would come, play left, and then say 'screw you Des!' and do a May. I think he will play better than he has for a while.

I think people under estimate how good Samuela is. He’s a kid yet hits hard in defence and runs a great line. Hes a star in the making , he could be anything in 2 seasons time . Wouldn’t want to dull his development if he struggles to play right naturally .
