Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I think if Taylan comes on board it will give May senior a bit of inspiration as a leader at this club but it should and will make Taylan try that bit extra hard to repay the faith, I think May senior will drive Taylan into a top player again and this year , 4 or 5 weeks in lower grade should have him ready, if needed as we still got Toa and AD going ok

Really - I'd have a laugh with the old man and not care.
Then you're obviously not someone who's a professional.
If you're trying to set the example at a club, creating the culture and attitude to change a club from last to first then a family never creating unnecessary distractions and tensions most definitely makes your job a lot harder and makes people question your authenticity

We are in desperate need of an another alpha prop with experience & voice in the James Fisher-Harris mould. Terrell May leads with his effort but we need someone who can stare down an opponent, puts fear in the opposition & can produce big PCMs at will.

At the moment Pole should be our 1st bench rotation until he further develops his game & experience.

Who could this be that could fall out of the tree?
Someone like Mitch Barnett was a bit of surprise signing at the Warriors. Long career with Newcastle as a young to mid age player with a hard edge but no standout but since he went to the Warriors he has completely transformed to a leader and enforcer.
Need to find someone similar we can build around either of the Newcastle Barnett or the Warriors Barnett versions would do.

Jeez May is a risk. We've got a pretty fragile truce in the dressing room, a 64-0 flogging, his brother is playing pretty unreasonable minutes and now will have to look after his fairly unwell younger brother on top of things. Hope im seeing it incorrectly but I am really not sure its worth the gamble.
Some say unreasonable minutes, but he's not being asked to play against his will. He's actively protested when he has been subbed off. But he's Benji needs to make it clear that to get the best out of him across the entire season and in future years, playing a bit less and having more impact is where it lies.

Look at the timing on that - just further evidence I think he’ll be here within the next month.

The question is…. would he play wing or centre?
Doesn't really matter he could slot in at both. He's got the ability it's just his mental space, if he is going ok mentally and really gets himself sorted, he is a weapon in either spot. Realistically we could use a centre more than a winger atm. If everyone's fit he offers more in the centres, Turuva and Skelton have the wings locked down.
