Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Since when have we come out on topin dealing with the Eels....remember Stefano, we wanted him early and they said F** Off; we then released Matterson to them early and got nothing in return....we have never come out on top of a deal with the Eels...you could say its time we did but I doubt it. Mark O'Neill hates the Tigers after we fired him...
Stuff O'Neil

Very average player that got lucky with a premiership

I’ve never watched Happy Potter thankfully, I’d rather watch Wests Tigers get beat by 50 every week than watch that crap.
I’ve never seen it either, it’s for children isn’t it? But it’s gotta be better than watching us get a shellacking.

That’s the word of the week.
Shellacking, hopefully we learnt how to give one for this weekend. Otherwise we gunna look like Elma Fudd.

Starford To'a is actually a better centre than Lomax.

Lomax is a winger who's playing in the centres. Obviously Lomax would be a sizable upgrade over Doueihi and Naden in the centres though.
Doueihi has done well for a player coming back from a serious injury. We will see the best of him later in the year as it takes time to regain full fitness and confidence.

I would rather Latu Fainu @7 with Jerome Luai @6.
Agree the kid needs to be given a shot and if fit needs to play in reserves for a week or 2 and show he is ready to step up , move Galvin out as he has clearly said he is not staying and needs to further his coaching else where , this alone is a slap to all our coaches so we should play him in reserve IF Latu is ready , but the kid needs to be given time this season to show it , if not up to it then we go hunt down a 7 , it’s only 10 rounds down so he should get at least 6 games straight no matter who we are playing , he can’t be judged off the bench for 15 minutes , Galvin got a big shot , Latu should get the same

Looking at potential signings for next year and considering realistic options and salary cap, I would be looking at bringing in the following:

Taylan May, Kai Pearce-Paul, Tyrone May, Harrison Hassett and a quality starting lock (perhaps a swap for Galvin. I would also look at re-signing Staines and Doueihi to one year deal, club friendly deals for outside back and halves depth. These types of signings would give the squad the best possible balance in terms of positions, competition, depth and salary cap. Ideally we would want two options in each position with 3 in the middle forwards.

1. Bula (Mason)
2. Turuva (Staines)
3. To'a (Doueihi/Bird)
4. Taylan May (Makasini)
5. Skelton (L.Laulilii)
6. Latu Fainu (Galvin)
7. Luai (Doueihi/Tyrone May)
8. Terrell May (Hunt/Twal/K.Laulilii)
9. Koroisau (Da Silva)
10. Pole (Sione Fainu/Seyfarth)
11. Samuela Fainu (Hassett)
12. Pearce-Paul (Seyfarth/Bird)
13. New Lock (Tyrone May/Bird)

14. Galvin
15. Hunt
16. Sione Fainu
17. Bird

18. Da Silva (hooker)
19. Twal (Prop/Lock)
20. Seyfarth (Prop/Second Row)
21. Doueihi (Centre/Half)
22. Staines (Wing)
23. Makisini (Centre/Wing)
24. Luke Laulilii (Wing)
25. Tyrone May (Lock/Half)
26. Mason (Fullback/Half)
27. Kit Laulilii (Prop)
28. Hassett (Second Row)
29. Saukuru (Centre/Wing)

Naden, Faataape, Feledy, Matamua, Tumeth and Sullivan all free to go.
