@Demps I wouldn't release him just yet because I still think he has a lot to offer, he is still young and think that if he does transition to the backrow he will offer a lot more, just needs a kick up the back side and put on some size.

@hsvjones 7-800k for a rookie with half a dozen games under his belt? You'd make him the highest earner in our squad? No one would come close to that number, not even us. Given he's on about 150k at the moment and most clubs may offer him maybe 400k. We'd need to offer at least 500k, but i'm not sure he's that much of a sure thing to offer him record money for. He's not Ponga, who's on much less

@balmain-boy not the highest earner, has a very solid build despite what the naysayers on here have had to say about him and will have many more games given his ability to not just survive but thrive in the current tough NRL environment, with even a decent crop around him next year, or 2021 when maybe we are more attractive would see him looking like Tedesco. I’ve got no doubt

Papenhuyzen ran for over 280m, 2 line break assists and 10 tackle breaks. We know how to identify and retain talent at WTs.

But to be fair at this stage if tigers offered you the chance to stay, or melbourne offered you the chance to leave, who in their right mind would stay? Pap would've learned so much playing down there. The play would now be to offer him good money and the fullback spot to pinch him back from the storm.

He is hardly “ Trash “.

I said years ago that he was not a center and I was howled down.

He was a prop in the lower grades. So he is no stranger to what is required in the forwards. I would like to see him given a run at lock.

well out of everything that is rumoured to be happening, this is what I'll be looking forward to most. Kid seems to play alright and has speed which we sorely lack.... good stuff

Brad Takairangi is off contract after this season. Surely he’d be in our price range and worth a look to add some speed and size to our backline?
