Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don't know but I have a suspicion that Shannon Gallant may have moved into that role.
Might be right, pretty sure though that Adele Hage said that Shannon Gallant is our only scout. He was saying on a podcast we were far behind other clubs who throw resources at their development and pathways, he was saying other clubs have 5 and 6 scouts, all we have is 1. So hopefully we are improving our scouting network. Can't see how if our only scout is now also our football manager and hes doing two roles, how that will help the Tigers.

Just been noticing him on the bench in recent weeks, so only guessing.

Structures sets, kicks goals, would cost like 500k max.

Better value than 1.2m for a good 5/8th who's only real strength is his running game.

The Bulldogs have signed highly-rated 19-year-old Aaymon Fitzgibbon — son of Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon — on a 3-year deal. The big-bodied five-eighth turned down a Dragons offer to join the Dogs, with his camp believing Canterbury was the better fit. The Bulldogs are building a powerhouse youth system, adding another elite talent, former Aussie Schoolboys rep Finau Latu, just three weeks ago. They’ve now secured Aaymon Fitzgibbon, Jack Ennis, David Bryenton & Latu — all poached from rival systems (DT)

why aren’t we doing this ? it’s the same recruitment plan as the raiders , find the best young and get them in the system asap . is it kids just don’t want to come here ?
We don’t have the money to compete with the Bulldogs.

They have told us their intentions by chasing Reynolds. They don’t intend to go into 2026 with an injury prone rookie in the halves. I tend to think that’s too risky also.

Well ..let’s call it what it is then … Sexton is 24 yrs old … if they sign him he is here to be the main man at the position … likely long term,,,expect Latu to process that accordingly

then why is he getting replaced by a 19 year old while leading the competition… i don’t mind Toby but he is nothing special
A 19 year old media darling, whose ear marked for Origin. He’s not just any 19 year old. It’s political, and Sexton looks to be collateral damage.

I don’t buy that. Which first grade team does Latu stroll into as a halves player?
