Ultimatums to your employer usually don't end well.He said he won't stay if we keep Api. How thick are people. You can't force people to stay

I’m actually glad TDS is getting out of the joint ..
It’s a lunatic asylum…
Extend Api another 5 years …that will work
You and he could go as a package deal. Win/win.

And I believe this could be a motivation. Madonna sang "the man with the cold hard cash is always Mr Right" and I believe she could be on the money. WTs has a budget and a club needing a first-grade hooker may be prepared to pay more. At this stage, Da Silva has failed to hold down the first grade hooking role at our club.Who is going to be the back up hooker next season ? Tristan Hope?
We let players walk away early from contracts that are beneficial for the club because they don’t like what was said to them during the negotiations for the following season?
It will likely end well for TDS… getting paid a lot more money elsewhere for next season

We don't know what discussions have taken place but what we do know is his manager has given the club it's him or me spiel. His doing his best for Da Silva but at the same time has backed the club into a corner to make a decision now. He brought up the 5 clubs being interested if he is on the market and it seems to me the club is being very fair to the player and his manager. The manager has many clients at our club and we appear to have a good relationship with him. I am optimistic a good deal will be agreed upon. That’s not my argument though … I’m talking about 2026 when he has a contract already with WT which is cheap for a position of need ( back up hooker ) … why release him from that ?

You will get there some day.It seems some people never learn….
I can see what’s likely happening here and my expectation is we have lost another gun young player. You will get there some day.
Tom you Shine in your comments about TDS! What if Api gets injured and we lose him for the remainder of 2025? Does the club seriously want SPOON number four in a row?You and he could go as a paby

What is the plan for next season of Api is injured ? Hope? More like No Hope
Rolling over? Is that what a crocodile does?We are a good club … always looking out for ways to help good players get out of their contracts and leave the club early
The club has a comprehensive view of the situation, whereas most of us have little or a partial view. One or all of the 5 clubs interested may be willing to pay substantially more for Da Silva than our club. Cash counts.I can see what’s likely happening here and my expectation is we have lost another gun young player.
Reed Mahoney anyone?
This situation wouldn’t arise if the club was competent at retention negotiations. The club has a comprehensive view of the situation, whereas most of us have little or a partial view.
