Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Then he’d want to become an Australian citizen first to get Albos tax breaks and take full advantage of all the incentives.

The minimum wage in png is less than AUD $11 a day, a bit over $4k per annum.

Let’s say he hits average nrl wage, he’s on close to 90 times the minimum, the Aussie equivalent of $4.5m.

It’s probably unsafe for him in Port Moresby, so him and his family may have to live in the NRL compound or build one and hire security.

Anyway, we will need to look after him properly here. Keep him away from Satan and from NRL gangsta life.

Need a translator as well I’d fancy.

Get the translator to impress upon him that we are the greatest rugby league club in history and all good things like that.

He’s very welcome.
Well James Graham has hung around and I am pretty sure a few of the burgess bros have stayed.

You get a 4 year contract you can get PR. Heck it's PNG and as you say, min wage is $11 a day! (Most places don't pay that, many don't even pay).

100% He just changes the game the instant he runs on..

He is a player that looks like he has time on his side and in slow motion.

I pray Benji drops Mason and starts him with TDS on bench to cover
It's weird with Mason, every time I saw him play Fullback it was like "You have done everything right but score". I feel he does a good "cover" job but isn't at first grade standard.

We can run with TDS and Mason on the bench with Latu at 5/8 or 7. But we really are lightening our side in the forwards and we will get caught out.

After last night's game I decided to take matters into my own hands and solve the Seyfarth problem.
I have lodged a formal complaint with Campelltown police and after reviewing the video evidence I submitted they have agreed to lay the following charge:

Obtain financial advantage by deception - Impersonating an NRL player.

It's an indictable offence so the NRL's stand down policy is in effect.

Ultimatums to your employer usually don't end well.

Who is going to be the back up hooker next season ? Tristan Hope?

We let players walk away early from contracts that are beneficial for the club because they don’t like what was said to them during the negotiations for the following season?

It will likely end well for TDS… getting paid a lot more money elsewhere for next season

And I believe this could be a motivation. Madonna sang "the man with the cold hard cash is always Mr Right" and I believe she could be on the money. WTs has a budget and a club needing a first-grade hooker may be prepared to pay more. At this stage, Da Silva has failed to hold down the first grade hooking role at our club.

That’s not my argument though … I’m talking about 2026 when he has a contract already with WT which is cheap for a position of need ( back up hooker ) … why release him from that ?

What is the plan for next season of Api is injured ? Hope? More like No Hope

We don't know what discussions have taken place but what we do know is his manager has given the club it's him or me spiel. His doing his best for Da Silva but at the same time has backed the club into a corner to make a decision now. He brought up the 5 clubs being interested if he is on the market and it seems to me the club is being very fair to the player and his manager. The manager has many clients at our club and we appear to have a good relationship with him. I am optimistic a good deal will be agreed upon.
