Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

just realised we’re not gonna have Luai for the roosters game … 🙁

roosters are going to be origin affected too but he’s our most important player
It's concerning, however may be a chance for Latu to "be the man" for a game. Depending on TDS availability, it would probably be api 7, latu 6, tds 9, Mason 14. Or if TDS is gone, perhaps AD slots in or Mason starts with bird at 14. The beauty of having Latu is I'm pretty sure he can cover for 9 in a pinch so gives us more flexibility on the bench.

Look at our bench though:
Pole, Prop... makes sense.
TDS, Hooker. Should have gotten some game time.
Latu, Fainu... Mainly a half but could do hooker/lock/back row if someone got injured...
Jack Bird... 5/8 or 2RF who can cover our backs.

Our front row did not collapse last night. Canberra got some quick tries and held their line for awhile.
But why on earth did we have this bench??? Why bring TDS, even if he is leaving to play Api for 80 minutes. That Haywood? coming through better be good.
Quick question, you guys might know the answer cause I dont. If we offload Dasilva now or next year, who covers for Api if he gets injured or suspended? He's not getting younger, do we have someone who can play hooker for 80 min if he's out. Haywood isn't nowhere near ready.

This is a grey area for the forum to understand but if the club didn't have a backup cover plan for this scenario well that would be disappointing,

Can't suggest any players myself but there would be some smokeys getting a run at training you would hope, or they are looking at an external.

Edit some handy suggestions above if they can lift to 1st grade standard.

Some junior signing...

PSM Director and Agent Chris Orr is proud to announce that rising talent Isaiah Fretton has officially signed with the Wests Tigers for the remainder of the 2025 season, as well as the 2026, 2027, and 2028 seasons.

A huge congratulations to Issy on this exciting next step in his rugby league journey. His dedication, discipline, and relentless commitment to his craft have all played a part in earning this opportunity.

Everyone at PSM is incredibly proud of his growth and development, and we’re thrilled to be by his side for the next four years. Well done, Issy — the hard work is paying off and the best is yet to come!

What position does he play

you’ll never see JAC take a hard carry out of yardage , he was playing for a contract watch him tank for the rest of the year
people want to bash our players for drug users is definitely interesting

Doubtful - Lucky you, You've pointed out the only bloke in the NRL to take Coke (EVER!!)

- His organisation of his edge defence and talk out there makes him worth the weight of Turuva and Skelton alone...

Turuva thinks you tackle with your mouth.

looks like he'll be part of either our Balmain or Wests Matts setup next year before SG Ball in 2027-28. by all accounts he's a middle.

yeah because that’s what the club really needs , a sacked winger that was doing lines literally at the clubs game .

Nope - The Club really needs to win Football games.
Speed and Experience helps that happen.

Turuva and Skelton don't hold a Candle to Addo Carr - On either
Even Combined...

Which earlier
- The one where we put 32 points on them (With no Addo Carr)
or when they Put 38 on us with Addo Carr?

They're a better team than us atm - Unfortunately...
That was the point I was trying to make, players with sheer speed such as Addo-Carr seem to always destroy us, yet we do not ever show any interest in these type of players.

Thanks for this update. He is written up in the Titans' pages but he is a West Maitland junior who was part of the Keebra Park SHS Scholarship scheme. For those interested, see the attached page.
