Origin is over , finished and so is he.
As for who i want , i couldnt tell you but im sure there are
players out there that fit what i asked for very well.

Ex-footy star Manase Fainu will be released from jail next year – but it’s highly unlikely he will be joining his three brothers at the Wests Tigers.

The 26-year-old was jailed for eight years after being found guilty of stabbing a youth leader during a violent brawl outside a Mormon church dance.

Fainu is set to be released on parole in October next year.

His manager Mario Tartak had spoken to Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson, however it’s understood the NRL will not register a contract until his parole is completed in 2030.

Fainu played 34 NRL games for Manly before he was jailed.

His three brothers are all at the Tigers – Samuela, Latu and Sione – and created history last week against the Roosters, becoming the first set of three brothers to score a try in the same NRL game.

I don't know about you, but for me moving to a country with an incredibly high rate of homicide isn't much of an adventure. I also can't see a young woman in her twenties wanting to move there. Shed be basically locked down and not adventuring anywhere

One of the account reps at my work manages a business in PNG (from AUS) and the business had to send a few ppl over there... The business made the decision not to send any females because of the crime rate and the danger posed to them..

So I can understand how in theory it could be painted as nice little adventure, but the reality is much different.

If we were the Roosters the exemption would be being drafted now.

Not sure what to think of this. On parole he is still serving a sentence but the bloke has to make a living. If he's not playing footy he will get another job.

And when his contract is up for renewal - any upgrade will not be funded by short-changing the fullback position (who is also not seeking an upgrade and is contracted through to 2027 with a club or player option)...

You do realise that if the club does not take up Bula's 900K option for 2027 - he can still stay for 800K or go elsewhere?

Regardless of your 9/10 rating nonsense - Bula will not be short of suitors who will pay in excess of $800K in 2027 - so unless he has a career ending injury - the option has already been factored into our 2027 cap and you can "EXPECT" it will be triggered by the club!

I'm not so sure there are clubs out there lining up willing to spend 1m plus for Bula. He has shown potential but I wouldn't pay him over the 900k at the most.

800k. He's not at that level yet. Can be with the right tactics. Think he'd be better following Api and May through the middle and offloads myself.

It's lively in PNG. Most families may chose to live in Cairns as Air New Guinea fly 10 services per week between Cairns and Port Moresby. Players may live in accommodation in Port Moresby.

Spent sometime in PNG in the aviation game, we based foreign flight crew in Cairns and would fly them over to operate flights. The hotel we used was only about 800m from the terminal in Port Moresby, nobody ever dreamed of walking, far too dangerous. Things may have changed that was about 15 years ago. Anyway will be interesting how they set the franchise up
