#opinionnotfactDo I know you? For such a failure of a sporting side some would say I’m usually far too optimistic. His style of play would be exposed in a team like ours. #Fact not opinion

Melbourne Storm star Nelson Asofa-Solomona shopped to Warriors

The future of Storm forward Nelson Asofa-Solomona in Melbourne continues to be a discussion point after it emerged that the Warriors were asked whether they harboured any interest in the powerhouse New Zealander.
Sport Confidential was told that a third party contacted the Warriors asking whether they would be open to taking Asofa-Solomona.
It is understood the Warriors were scared off by Asofa-Solomona’s price tag - he is on a contract worth more than $800,000 a season at the Storm.
Asofa-Solomona’s future is set to be one of the most intriguing stories of the offseason given talks have also been held with breakaway rugby union competition R360 over a potential switch of codes.
Asofa-Solomona is believed to be a hit-list of potential NRL signings should R360 come to fruition.
I think you might be right about Roberts. And I'd take either or both of Fifita or Vaalepu, which would allow AD to play 13. The thing that cost us the most this year was consistency in the halves, from the Galvin debacle, to Latu's injuries etc. If Latu and Romey are starting halves with AD at 13, we're forming a great combination right there and if one goes down, we've still got flow in the halves. Then we'll finally get to see the best of Bula and the whole backline, which is looking pretty hot.Better them, than us. I say.
He'd be a star for them though.
I think we've got a good one in Ethan Roberts on our hands.
Still think perhaps Viliami Fifita or Lazarus Vaalepu [or both 🤔] are worth a look. On the cusp of being break out first graders imo
Gotta continue striking with recruitment and landing some players that improve the squad as a whole.I think you might be right about Roberts. From what I have seen of his performances this year & read about his training ethic, he would be huge for us. Brings what we need in effort, line speed, forward leg speed & defensive intent. Team mates love to play with him.Can we all agree Ray Stone would be a great addition to our pack.
I know he has had his injury issues in the past but he is tough as teak and a WT junior.
At 28yrs he is experienced and looks to be the Elijah Taylor type we seem to be missing.
Would give him 600 npIf were talking outside backs.

is asking for over 500k and the roosters have said No.
Would this fit your idea of a "quality back"?
Agreed I have been hugely impressed with his efforts this yr also. From what I have seen of his performances this year & read about his training ethic, he would be huge for us. Brings what we need in effort, line speed, forward leg speed & defensive intent. Team mates love to play with him.
Maybe. But then Union has 2 more defenders than NRL. IMO he has been more prominant in NRL than he was in Union. He’s alleged to have been offered 500K to resign with Easts. Union will offer him more than that. I think he will head back for the World Cup.Yeah, though unlike NRL wingers, he wasn't expected to do hit-up upon hit-up, especially early ones into compressed defences. He will be a star if he can bring that into his game.
The grub has tried to get in with stints at Raiders and Manly. Neither signed him. It's interesting that Ennis is 'glad to work with Flanno'.
While James Maloney said he "learned nothing" from him.
While Ennis was done over by the dogs, expect St George to go grubby in future games.
He’s better than Taylan and we just paid him over 600k so yes.If were talking outside backs.

If we could sign an elite lock (which I don't think there is any available, or even any pretty good ones for that matter) then I reckon all our forwards would suddenly look 10-20% better with someone that knows how to position them into contact. Our middles are currently shit but they're not getting any help from each other or our halves.Yeah mate blind Freddy can see there's not enough grunt in the pigs and that needs to be the priority.
You can't do much if the middles aren't creating space for the attack to work on.
Then get a lock if we can't manufacture one.
Umm.why ? Would you prefer Skelton over Marky Mark.Marky Mark would look horrid in our team, 10 weeks here and he’d look like a super league level player
Hes played one season of Nrl and is scoring more tries than any other winger. He is a freak and will only get better. Me personally would love him at the tigers although I agree a top class .8 and even maybe a 10 are what we need to focus on I just don't know if there's anyone out there available.I like Marky Mark, but a lot of the hype around him is based on sizzle. I noticed early in the season how deft and silky his hands are, and it’s great for the highlight reel. But he’s still a long way off being considered an elite winger imo. He’s no To’o or Coates.
We can fix him. I know it didn't work out with Jamal Idris, James Roberts, Ken Maumalo, and Joey Leilua, but this time I know we can get the best out of a broken-down has-been.Came on here to see if any crazies are suggesting we sign broken down Turbo and you all disappointed me.
He just needs good coaching right? We can fix him. I know it didn't work out with Jamal Idris, James Roberts, Ken Maumalo, and Joey Leilua, but this time I know we can get the best out of a broken-down has-been.
