Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Craig baffles me tbh.

In 2023 I watched him play schoolboys and absolutely brain it. Then he played in the Koori Knock-out as a high schooler and looked like bloody Dylan Edwards playing fullback.

Something went wrong upstairs during the 23/24 preseason. Instead of developing on the curve he should have he regressed. I did see something of a recovery by the end of the year but yeah not to a degree where I could say he was even close to NSW cup much less first grade.

But there is a player in there somewhere. Just not sure he thinks there is.
He signed a 4-year contract in Oct '22.
A school kid promised a NRL spot in 4 yrs time-----2026, what a joke.
Please, never again give a kid a 4-yr deal on potential.
And there must always be GET OUT CLAUSES on non-performance

I agree with the premise but I think it needs to go the other way. A 4 year contract for a kid deemed worth it is fine. But each year gets activated by the kid meeting KPIs. With no get out clauses for the kid.
So it's not an 'option' for him to activate the next year with KPIs, it automatically happens.
This Keeps the performers tied to us and gives them a clear path and expectations forward. Non performers dropped naturally. And doesn't come across as we're not confident in them which I think get out clauses would say.

Lost the clip, but Braithe is saying he believed the grub Iballsack Moses is looking to get Bula out of the Tigers
Just watched it. It's all based on his commission. Basically 2026 is a done deal so he gets nothing. 2027 with options if Bula/Club again he gets no commission.

Best option is renegotiate the deal so all parties happy.

It's simply speculation.

If true, and its more than just Moses angling to get commission, and he is telling Bula to ignore WT and go elsewhere, sobeit, we p off Bula, every other Moses client in the club, declare him and his agency out of bounds and atleast approach ARL/NRL to seek his & agency deregistration as not fairly dealing with clubs.

We can hate on Moses … but at the end of the day …Bula is a grown married adult that needs to make his own choices in life about his career … he needs to tell Moses to put the options in front of him… but the final decision should be Bula’s… Moses doesn’t own him

disagree tom, moses has a vendetta against the club & benji and it’s not exactly subtle. if your agent is telling you to leave it counts for something to these players

I feel the same about Galvin. Moses did a lot despicable acts to get Galvin out of the Tigers but Galvin aloud him to do it. Which shows his character.
In my opinion I don’t think Bula is like that and will stay a Tiger with a new contract so Moses gets paid.

So what?
They’d be getting all sorts of advice from a wide variety of stakeholders.

Slightly different case but haven't we just done it again for Attard?

Really hope there are some clauses in there.

if moses is doing everything he can to get bula out, hopefully richo will just be petty & activate our option so he doesn’t get a cent 😂 and we can use the next few years to organise a replacement that would be an upgrade.
Think we all have had enough of that Boa Constrictor putting the squeeze on the Tigers.
If he's the cause of the delays on the Bula decision we need to bite the bullet and black ball the knob from future deals.

No one that I’m paying to provide a service is going to make any decisions on my behalf .., and this includes medical, law etc where I know relatively nothing ..I’ll respect their advice … but ultimately the decision is mine to make..,

I would be surprised if many of these guys are acting differently … Galvin was a kid who got manipulated… mostly by his father who he is the meal ticket for

It's not just the managers that may or may not have an influence over players decisions. It is ultimately which - club/ CEO/ coach GM's - can sell the best possible outcome for the player. Given where we are coming from we are already at disadvantage for those who want to play semi final football in the present.

Looking at this we can only dream for players like payne and Keaon,
But realistically we are more of a chance for someone like Josh Curran, he would be handy for the right price. Still not alot of Decent forwards bar the ones i already named.
Would only keep S.Fainu and Skelton out of our lot, the other 9 can go.
Josh Curran makes 2.mistakes a game and gives away penalties. No thanks.

Yep totally agree
But two ‘similar’ proposals can be ‘delivered’ by a manager in a different light that may sway a close decision.
