Wasn’t me who made those comparisons, a guy made a list saying all these players were better. I simply called out the ones I thought were laughable . And I brought up the confirmation bias and how annoying it is . “Im right because of my opinion . This is my opinion of the reason I’m right “ like seriously wtf!
I simply stated facts . The nrl has deemed KPP to be to the value of 550-650k . Which puts him in the probably 80th percentile , maybe higher .
People can once again convince themselves they’re right by making excuses like , “we were bidding against ourselves “ or whatever stupidity they want to come up with . In the end , the market dictated that he’s valuable . I personally value his skill set , but like others I hope he can improve his explosiveness off the mark .
It’s really annoying seeing the same people always bag our signings no matter what quality they are , constantly being contrarians .especially when I know most of these lounge chair experts have never laced a boot on in their life , been around a club , coached , or done anything really other than voyeur a game from the comfort of their lounge for X amount of years .
KPP is a great signing. Strong defensively , stands in tackles , has gravitational force on the field - what do I mean by that . He attracts players and demands respect . Some players simply don’t have that . Seyfarth is one of those players . Most of our edge backrowers have been that way . Even Ice , the opposition didn’t respect him like we all thought they would . Probably because the guys outside him were shit , so they knew where ball was going , but still . KPP has that gravitational force on the field . In fact most of that right edge does. Turuva/Skelton/Makasini , Makasini/May/Toa, KPP, and whichever of AD and Fainu, with Bula out the back . Each player should create space for the next . Which we haven’t had for years , as teams can ignore 1 or more attacking threat and slide or jam up on the ones who are.
