Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

You can disagree, but in the end I think you agreed?
Anyway I reckon it cannot be denied how much easier it is for a club, and it filters all the way through the system, knowing that you get Friday night tv games most weeks, plus less 5 days, plus more home games, plus magic round as away, plus, plus, plus? Yep fair.
At least you didn’t bring the Mardu Grass into it.
Yeah I agreed with your follow up comments. The article linked in the original comment was about Broncos having a couple extra home games and a favourable draw as being the reason for why they're getting an unfair advantage. I think that couple extra home games is a non issue and they often have a tougher draw as far as match ups go but also the many advantages that you mentioned in the follow-up comments.

I disagree with this take. I dislike the Broncos as much as anyone and would agree they have had to many advantages for too long. One of those advantages is very few 5 day turnarounds and the free to air games they get. But typically with that comes a tougher draw. They usually cop more top 8 sides than anyone because broadcasters want them playing other strong teams.
As for a couple of extra home games. Well magic round is a bit of a rort but hardly that big a deal, particularly as it's not a home crowd. And playing Dolphins there isn't a valid complaint in my opinion. Similar scenarios play out all the time.
Edit: just read further on you touching on the free to air games and the advantages they bring. This is correct but until recently the NRL had no say in the scheduling, it was the broadcasters choice. I think the NRL have actually taken a big step in evening this up recently.
What a load of crap, they face more top 8 teams! At the end of every year odds from the previous season play each other twice then play the evens once. The same the other way, do they can only play 4 top 8 sides at most twice. But carry on
