Don't understand Bula's contract takes months and still not confirmed?
Benji gets an extension in a week. Rushed?
Or was it being negotiated well before the shit hit the fan?

That's right hank but the head scratching part for me is these deals are usually given to young players for the final step towards 1st grade.

Bunty is not what you'd call young, obviously no age limit required which is surprising.

You literally said his comments (in a few days) are far more impressive than any CEO we've ever had.

Also 1.5M payout - that is in ADDITION to what we now have to pay the new guy. Not exactly a cost saving when you still have to pay out 75% of the original contract and then pay a new person on top.

Remind me very much of sacking Tim Sheens way back and having to pay 2 coaches at the same time, classic Wests Tigers / Holman Barnes.

CANNOT WAIT for when Holman Barnes eventually sack Benji early and we have to pay him for the contract we panic-extended this week.

Bulas contract was being negotiated by professionals, to get the best value for the club in the short and long term.
Benjis contract was offered by incompetent morons so they probably just asked him to name his price then signed the check and it was done. Not a single person with business acumen at HBG, and isn't it showing....

Come on mate I see your new but you probably have read the forum for years, most of the time there's an abundance of footy talk but at the moment the prosperity of the club has discussion priority.

No one likes what's happening at the moment and they have the right to feel pissed and want to discuss it, if the Bula signing is imminent that might change the subject for a while.

Yep, but there's 242 threads running that are discussing the board and the politics of the club.
I don't think it's asking too much to keep those discussions quarantined within them and have a thread where people can get away from that if they wish.

Benji’s extension was all about damage control. They badly needed to create a distraction and find a positive media release. Of course it also probably helped in keeping the playing roster from revolting

Does anyone know if KPI are in Benji contract extension surely, they would not be that stupid to extend him for that long?

Well get the ball rolling what's on the agender besides Bula, apart from that it's all pretty quiet footy related.

This time of year can often result in up to an hour between posts.

Surprising to me too, but maybe a loop hole that Wests Tigers have actually exploited that may be to our advantage for once.

Not really like us to be this clever. 🤣
