The Pom mentioned a while back that we were close to signing Welsh......Parra were also aggressively after him.

The RCG signing obviously removes them from Welsh.

Any updates on Welsh and Capewell? The Pom had us "close" to getting both a couple of months back.

Thanks, that makes sense. I guess he is backing himself also. When The Pom linked us to him he had not played Origin...once he got picked, I imagine his price went up a lot.

FWIW Panthers "insiders" are saying they will announce Dylan Walker soon after Manly are knocked out. Just mentioning it here as we were linked / Madge connection.

Agree. Had 5 years to go on the panthers deal that Gould signed him to. Eels paying $600k a year apparently with panthers covering $300k a year.
