They don't care who he goes to as long as they get a player of similar standing in return. Something our pussy of a club has never done. People on here continually whinge that we just give players away but when another club refuses to do it they are wrong.

As much as I hate the Parra-sites they are correct in taking it to court.

The original intent of the release was for Lomax to pursue opportunities outside of the NRL.

As part of the release granted on 16 November 2025, the Parramatta Eels included conditions to safeguard the Club.

One of those conditions was that Lomax could not join another NRL Club before 31 October 2028 without their express written consent.

This protected the Parra-site Eels (and its brain dead members and fans) from a football perspective heading into the 2026 season.

It ensured the Club would not lose a representative player to another NRL club without receiving adequate compensation/benefit during the period of the original contract.

Lomax agreed to that condition after receiving legal advice but once again he has f*cked up.

I support the Parra-sites in their bid to have the contract terms enforced but personally I would prefer to see Lomax have to sit out until the end of 2028 under the original contract terms and not see anyone gain a benefit.

They can’t force a player to go there. The RLPA would never allow it. Hence having to go to court over it.

I agree - parra have the right to ask for a player in return but if no one wants to go there then Lomax is stuck. The fact that parra moved on and signed other players with his money has nothing to do with it. Why should they strengthen another club with little in return - only loser clubs do that.

Lomax has to do a press conference with Galvin standing next to him and near the end Galvin should put his arm around Lomax a slight embrace and a tear rolling down his eye that should do the trick

Okay so Parra won’t let him sign anywhere else they should allow him to re sign with them! Yes he made a poor uneducated decision but Parra surely can’t stop him from playing elsewhere and also not give him the option to go back and fill his contract the are restricting his opportunity to earn. Just an opinion as I think Lomax is a knob !!

He can try to get another contract in another code (which he initially did) or another league. Release from contract was under the condition he couldn’t play for another NRL side for a period of time.

It is like the McDonalds CEO leaving his contract early and only being allowed to because he is not leaving for a competitor. Then this new contract falls through and he now wants to go to Hungry Jacks.

The team has a bit of strike on both edges this year. If we had Taylan earlier might have won a few more games especially the close loses at start of last year. If Starford remains uninjured, he goes alright and the addition of Kai on the right hopefully adds more to the right side attack.
There is always improvement but at least their is now 2 decent centres and 2nd rowers. Our wingers do their job it's now up to the forwards to get momentum and the halves to create space.
