Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

in reference to Gus knowing about two more signing, do you think he might know because there from his club, he mentions a young fullback - maybe Edwards,

Do you reckon he's put it in his article if it was his own club losing the players? Unless Panthers were cool with it.

The only players that have been in negotiations with the Tigers that i have been made aware of are Lolohea, Hiku and Guerra. It would probably be two of those players, unless they have been negotiating with other players that i'm not aware of…

Well you would hope with the holes still to fill in the roster for 2018 there would be more than 3 players the Wests Tigers would be negotiating with…

I get the feeling he's talking about one of the two signings as Lolohea. Obviously he would be in the know regarding the TMM situation knowing that there will be a domino effect in terms of player transfers regarding Lolohea/Martin/Moses etc. One has fallen, two others just need to fall into place.

Hopefully Corey Harawira-Naera! Maybe Wikipedia was right! 😛

Itl be tui lolohea and Peter hiku or sitaleki akoulia from panthers.

The first player is most likely Tui Lolohea, which is common knowledge.

I'd guess the second guy is from Penrith, since Gus would know about this too. Most likely Hiku, i'd say.

Hiku can play right across the backline from memory, could be a handy utility seem to remember him playing a bit of fullback for manly? Definitely wing and centre for Penrith, in any event he's better cover than Kev and could go to fullback if Lolohea doesnt work out.

You seem obsessed with Sita. After what he had to say about the club after he left, I dont think you should expect to see him back here.

Yes of course they have, they've sounded out many different options and are talking to many players and managers. I'm referring to these three specifically as there has been serious negotiations with the managers and players.

He was a handy fullback for manly when stewart was injured…I reckon he would be a top signing.

You need these depth signings to be successful, by no stretch of the imagination is he a marquee but he's definatley solid so that and the fact he covers the backline is a definite tick from me.

Yes I liked him when he played here. He ran hard and always put in. He looks like hes added 5-8 kgs on his frame now. The old board and taylor got rid of him. New start. He has to play somewhere because panthers wont have room.

Pfft why would they get rid of edwards? Moylan moves to 5/8 and edwards to fullback will happen full time. Hiku will be the one hes referencingn

Panthers have a strong backline and I don't believe Gould is the type to prevent a young player from furthering his career. We let TMM go to the Panthers for this reason so I am sure there is goodwill between figures in both clubs. I think Edwards is a player who brings that x factor to the team.

As much as I'd like Edwards, I have a feeling it'll be hiku if indeed it is someone from Penrith.

Ok here's who is on the market that everyone is mentioning:

Corey Harawira-Naera
Peter Hiku
Dylan Edwards
Josh Dugan
Tahne Milne
Tui Lolohea
James Graham
Adian Tolman
Michael Lichaa
Greg Eastwood
Will Hopoate

Adam Elliott
Jarryd Hayne
Anthony Don
Aiden Guerra
Anthony Topou
