At best AD is a minor upgrade on CT at full back. AD adds a ball playing option and a kicking option. CT is a superior ball runner and defender (based on tackles missed).

If AD wants $600k next year and a four year deal, then I can understand why we have walked away.

He was coming back from an ACL and is 20 years old. Remember when Tedesco played wing for us when he came back from injury? They fit him in the team where they needed him and then he CEMENTED the fullback spot through excellent play.


Played 15 first grade games before doing his ACL. ZERO at 5/8, 1 at Fullback.

This is the guy you want to discuss in the same breath as Tedesco and throw $2.4M at over 4 years?

Latrell Mitchell played fullback, at 19yo, for the best and richest team in the world for 16 of his first 17 games. After 14 weeks he had played more games at fullback in first grade than Doueihi has in his whole career and he tore up and was already a superstar. Thank you for proving my point.

Latrell isless than 18 months older than Doueihi and has played for Australia and SOO, but yeah Doueihi has played for Lebanon.

I think you’re the one that doesn’t understand Glenn. He also let Arrow go to pursue opportunities elsewhere but now he’s bought him back to Souths. He doesn’t stand in the way of players if they have better opportunities elsewhere.

Avo, Bennett like all coaches does what he thinks is best for his team - he kicks out who is best for the team. Its not about doing right by all the players, it's only doing right by the players he wants to keep in the team. Someone like AD who is now surplus to requirements, its good for his team to kick him out, and pay no money, so thats what he is tryng to do. Bennett doesnt care about Doeihi, he just wants him out.

I agree with you totally. As you said Wayne Bennett is a MUCH better judge of flesh. Just like when in rounds 12 and 13 last year when Cody Walker was out, Wayne Bennett put Doueihi at centre and preferred that well know gun Connor Tracey at 5/8.

But yeah, Maguire, Pascoe, Wayne Bennett, Anthony Seibold and I have no clue, you are right and Adam Doueihi is the answer and should play 5/8 for us for $2.4M.

Yeah a real specialist. No wonder he cant push out Braiden Burns, Campbell Graham, AJ.

He was coming back from an ACL and is 20 years old. Remember when Tedesco played wing for us when he came back from injury? They fit him in the team where they needed him and then he CEMENTED the fullback spot through excellent play.


Played 15 first grade games before doing his ACL. ZERO at 5/8, 1 at Fullback.

This is the guy you want to discuss in the same breath as Tedesco and throw $2.4M at over 4 years?

not getting cute....YES you used it as an example, I merely pointed out that Doueihi is nowhere near Tedesco and at that the same stage, Doueihi is getting paid, and asking the Tigers for more money than Teddy got.


This is a silly comment . The salary cap has gone up double since then . If you go off set figures you can’t actually compare . The percentages are more accurate.

Its an unbelievably ridiculous comment. Embarrasingly stupid but Im not the one comparing a guy that had played 1 game in first grade at fullback to James Tedesco.

you are right and Adam Doueihi is the answer and should play 5/8 for us for $2.4M.
