Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

With south's being short in the forwards, I wonder if a trade of sorts may happen
After posting in another thread I realised that Clark is off contract at the end of 2020
So what if
Doueihi is released and subsidized $100,000 per year for two years by rabbits
Tigers sign Doueihi and release Clark
South's pay full freight but get a forward cheap
2021 Tigers get Stefano to take Clarks place
So Doueihi would cost Tigers $250,000 1st year and $500,000 second year
That's an average of $375,000 per year for to years
I think this is more than fair for both parties
It's years 3 and 4 that come into ?
So a 2 year club option
$650,000 A year
Perform and get an extra $1,300,000 for two years
Don't perform and we don't take up the two year extension
Adam can go and test the market
That's enticing for a young man that hasn't reached his full potential yet

I like Clark .... not for sale sign as far as I’m concerned.

I think Souths will get more and more desperate to off load one or more of their backs. If they keep their current players and sign JAC, they simply won’t be able to afford it. 1. L Mitchell, 2. D. Gagai, 3. B Burns/C Graham, 4. C Allen, 5. A Johnston/JAC, with AD as cover for these positions, halves and a bench role at 500-600k a year. They’re paying LM 650k this year and more next. Gagai is apparently on 600-700k and then JAC will want more than the 350k he’s got at Storm. They’re going to have serious salary cap management issues with no addition to their forwards this year and only Arrow for next.

Guess whose back

What’s this I’m hearing about BJ. I saw the forgotten man call the signing official, and I googled him and he’s listed as playing for us on his wiki. Yet I can’t find any official announcement or anything on here about it. I need to know cos I’m almost back in Sydney Harbour, and need to know if I’m jumping over board and swimming back out to the Pacific.

Mannnnn.
That sucks.

Roosters going hard for Doueihi apparently. So glad we don’t have guys like Politis and Robinson running our club. They’ve clearly got no idea what talent is!

Welcome back. I’d be waiting on the dock for a while yet. He’s all but signed, but apparently there’s an issue so it’s not set in stone. No idea what the issue is, but it’s holding up the official announcement.

Douehi will get the money he wants there, 350k contract, the rest topped up in the bag 😂

I think you are misrepresenting the views of many on here. I don't think anyone is suggesting that AD is not a talented young footballer. And most would be happy for him to join the club. The issue is the price. If it's true that he wants a four year deal and $600k next year, then many of us think that it's too much at this stage of his career.

They’ve lost Cronk and Mitchell. Pretty sure they can afford him without paper bags. Watch him go on and develop into a star.

I’m not sure, you’ll have to ask Nick or Trent.

They couldn’t be more different. Moltzen was a coward, that’s what his biggest issue was. No heart. Doueihi the complete opposite, he’s all heart. I think not signing him will turn out to be a mistake. He was more important than Leilua imo.

so why do we see things differently to the Roosters? Why do they feel like he is worth talking to assuming he’s asking the same thing.

Your kidding yourself...anyone who plays NRL is no coward. I saw Moltzen make some unbelievable one on one tackles. Okay he was not the best no1 but he sure was not a coward
