He has never played cc cup mate maybe try Qcup

Walters couldn't even tie Harry Grants shoe lace at 9...

No comparison.

Word is it's a 1 year loan deal.

Simpkin can muscle up and improve his game in Cup against the men and Liddle can recover and hopefully improve.

Walters isn't a legit long term option at 9.

2020 - Harry Grant
2021 - Liddle, Simpkin

Going forward 1 of Liddle or Simpkin the long term options.

Will be Simpkin

I dont have the answer bra

I would like to hear why u think that tho?

Just a gut feeling Demps. I feel Liddle is one more injury away from being let go by the Tigers. Simpkin just looks like a footballer, highly regarded in QLD. Has a good head on his shoulders and seems really driven to succeed. Again, just a hunch but an educated one...

Oliver Clark - I heard from an extended family member, this will be his last year playing NRL...he plans to retire and focus on running the family business....apparently the family are fairly well off.

I agree with everything u said.
Hope Liddle comes good but I'm on the same page as u...

See what happens.

1 thing for sure tho...

Walters has nothing to do with any of it.

He'll be playing halves in Cup and only grade if injuries.

He'll do OK but a 9 he is not.

If the Tigers had secured Sefano from the Eels for 2020 he would've left

For the person that was saying a kick in the guys for walters and simpkin firstly simpkin cant play till rd 16 and no point in rushing him just yet let his body develop in a full year of cc and walters is a back up 6 played most of his footy there

Yeah I am sure he has upside (somewhere) but I have really never rated Clark and he doesn’t even come onto my radar when picking the 2020 NRL side.

People keep mentioning that development players cannot play until round 16, this is not quiet correct.

They can play prior to that with an NRL exemption if there are no fit top 30 players that can cover the position.

Last year the Roosters, Panthers and Broncos were all granted these exemptions. Our chances are probably somewhere between buckleys and none.

I think he gets a spot purely because we don’t have many other great options for front row, I’m hoping Alex Seyfarth really develops and earns himself a first grade spot by the end of the year because he’s a GIANT

Anyone but Blocker. He can’t even get half the names of the players right and hes STILL not ever the merger. Pretty sure he thinks it’s Balmain Tigers out there running around. The less involved he is the better

Yeah, why would you want one of the greatest ever props to mentor our young and up and coming ones on the finer arts of forward play??

Because the game has changed significantly since he last played

Has Blocker been in a coma since his last game?
Don’t you think he’s been following the game?

Blocker is a bloke you take on a bonding session...he is no coach

This. Anyone talking up his analytical abilities only needs to
listen to him on commentary. I once heard him ask if a player going off with a neck injury constitutes a HIA because “your neck is apart of your head isn’t it”.

He's probably mates with Gladstone Small
That's why he is confused

Seriously Blocker loves the club but he can’t coach - he has had many many years as forward coach / mentor over the years.

We need to move away from the love for legends and actually have the best coaches that will make a difference. We need week in week out dedication who will focus on game review/strength/weakness areas & know how to improve the players.

Sure let Blocker in at LO and bring Tommy in at CS for a motivation rev up speech but keep them away from the coaching please - we can do alot better.

Spot on

Isn't Maguire best to make that decision? And on your post, having many many years as a forwards coach suggests either knowledgeable people rate him or they all have not idea. Which one is it?

How did our forward pack fair when he was here...

He got punted from his last stint maybe another as well.

Harry Grant to weststigers I think is a kick in the guts for Billy Walters and Jake Simpkin , absolute show of no faith in these 2

Can’t agree, Walters was always signed as more of a 5/8 depth player not guaranteed first grade, and Simpkin is on a development contract and wouldn’t be expecting first grade this year.

Didn't Pascoe say , the reason for the deal was it was just for 1 year . As in he doesn't want it any longer as it would block Lids and Simpkins pathway.? I don't see the lack of faith , more the team is loaded and iwe shouldn't be punting the year .

Lids is no hope and don’t want to rush Simpkin. 1 year further development for Simpkin is perfect.
