Don't know how accurate my estimations are but, I have us at least 2mil, give or take, under a 9.5mil cap. That's just me guessing though, I could be way off.

You aren't. Tigers have spent around the 6.3mil mark so far (that will jump to about 6.65 if ET takes up his option) then you have the banked offers to Rona,Glenn,Lawrence, Latimore so things could be quiet for while, problem is now that their really aren't any big marquee players off contract that warrant big dollars. Expect some roster boosting signings though.

Alex Glenn has an offer from us?

SG suddenly dumping the heavy rumour that we've made offers to A Glenn, B Lawrence and J Latimore? You've not given any indication on them before.

Yeah that's the first I've heard of Latimore or Glenn. B Lawrence has been floating around for a little while. I think they're all decent targets. Latimore would be cheap and does his job pretty well - a solid 4th-6th prop with good experience. Hard to go wrong with a depth signing like that.

Brenton Lawrence is still putting out performances like a 2nd-3rd prop and while he's getting on and has a suspect back he has the advantage of having only debuted in first grade about 6 years ago, so he's not carrying the wear and tear of hundreds of first grade games at prop. He doesn't seem (from reports) to be in high demand so he should come relatively cheap and could be great value.

Glenn is pretty handy in attack but he's no longer a genuine 80 minute player and has some defensive frailties. He'd interchange well with Marsters though and offers plenty of experience. Better than what we've got, but not someone I'd throw the bank at…

Latimore is another player who played under Ivan at the Panthers .

Cleary considering bringing in another of his old crew in Sam Mckendry, it's early stages & a few factors to consider. But dependent on his recovery & the right $$ it could happen. He's contracted till 2019 but with Panthers situation Tigers could get him on the cheap end.

Thanks mate.

Mckendry so busted tho doubt we would get much footy out of him.

Interesting panthers until 2019

Cleary knows his game and he brings size, power and experience. Let's hope the Panthers' situation is so dire that the NRL won't register the new CNN contract.

There are better options than McEndry and Lawrence.
Vete and Tagatese would be smarter targets and wouldn't be that expensive.

Alex Glen is the type of second rower we need. He would be looking for a three year contract to finish off his career.

Lets give it to him…

I really think Alex Glenn is a long shot. I'd imagine he would stay at the Broncos even if he was offered less than the Tigers.

http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/nrl/teams/broncos/broncos-set-to-resign-kiwi-test-duo-alex-glenn-and-jordan-kahu-in-a-16m-deal/news-story/cd28c999df5af7cb406378f44e3721af

The Broncos will outlay $1.6 million collectively to secure Glenn and Kahu, whose deals are worth around $400,000 annually, while five-eighth teammate Anthony Milford is on the verge of inking a $2.7 million extension.

Good mates Glenn and Kahu have virtually become a package deal at Red Hill. In 2015, the pair announced new two-year deals on the same day and once again the Kiwi comrades are committing to concurrent contracts at the Broncos.

I am sure that I read on this forum that Vete was signed/going to the Titans.

I'm sure our coach is no dope …. and would not consider him if he is such a signing risk.

He's had 2 knee injuries back to back. I don't think we need 2 props with dodgy knees.

I know Sam well, unless something has drastically changed he is not leaving the Panthers.

I thought that Glenn and Neilson what's his name from Storm had both re signed with their clubs a few weeks ago. Could be wrong

Yep, Glenn was "set" to re-sign at the same time as Kahu.
