Isn't JAC South's bound? Learned my lesson last time.

Probably if he has a choice. Rabbits are in desperate need of forwards can’t see them adding a high priced back again. Mitchell, Jet, Burns, Campbell Graham, Latrell. Johnstone is off contract so you never know but he would be cheaper to rent sign. They also spent massive money on the 18 year old Suali who will start on the wing next year.

Melbourne Storm and Wests Tigers are reportedly weighing up another swap deal that could involve Josh Addo-Carr, with the Origin speedster seeking a move back to Sydney next season.

The two players are due to return to their respective clubs next season, however, according to The Australian's Brent Read, Melbourne may look to re-negotiate the deal and involve Addo-Carr.

The superstar winger dropped a bombshell in the off-season when he requested a release from the final two years of his contract to enable him to move home to Sydney where his family reside.

The Storm denied the Kangaroos and NSW Blues star an immediate release, but agreed to let him go after the 2020 season.

There have been strong links between Addo-Carr and his former club the Tigers since the release request was made, and Read told Triple M the Storm potentially ask to keep Momirovski permanently along with another player in exchange for 'The Foxx'.

"This is one that's been simmering away beneath the surface for quite a while now," Read said on Triple M Saturday.

"There's talk about him [Addo-Carr] wanting to move back to Sydney and he's got a deal still at Melbourne for at least another year and I reckon this is going to come to a head pretty soon.

"It's interesting last night Paul Momirovski had such a huge game for the Melbourne Storm, scored three tries and it was the first glimpse of him in a Storm jersey, he was outstanding.

"The Tigers are a club who are interested in Josh Addo-Carr. If Melbourne are going to let him got they'll want a player in return.

"I imagine Momirovski might be a bloke that might fit that build, I imagine they'll want someone else to sweeten the deal but Momirovski certainly gave himself a helping hand with that performance."
Addo-Carr joined Melbourne from the Tigers ahead of the 2017 season and has gone on to become a mainstay of the Blues and Kangaroos squads and with 65 tries in 90 NRL games has firmed as one of the game's most prolific wingers.

While a return to the Tigers has always been considered a strong possibility, with the Tigers having now let go of Corey Thompson, the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs have also been linked to the 24-year-old's signature.

Mbye would be a perfect move.

For mine, Mbye is one of the more capable guys in the backline.

Should be at $800k per season

The money is irrelevant. When they run on the field, it only matters what each player can do. Those decisions weere made by morons no longer at the club, what is done is done. The job now is to get the most out of each player not value. Mbye offers more than most in our backline.

What does Mbye offer?
Slow and mute

I think he is close to fastest in the backline (faint praise) and IMO has the best pass of all of them. Also showed last week that although not reliable probably the best goal kicker we have.

Strong defender too. He’s a very good player, just despised by many because he’s on so much money.

Money has nothing to do with it Mbye is a plodder !and offers little , the coach needs a boot up the behind making him the second most useless captain ever .. Woods was the worst if you were wondering .. The clubs been shopping him around for ages.. yes shopping your captain around says a lot about the thinking process at the club don’t you think ..

Woods actually led our forward pack at least and was most of the time in reasonable form (I think WTs Got the most out of him). For that id say hes ahead of Mbye. I agree Mbye is a plodder and hasn't done anything on the field that would consider him a great captain or leader. He must be great off the field and at training, otherwise it must have been in his contract that he be captain.

Woods is the perfect example of playing good at a club / system and throwing away his career chasing money or thinking grass is greener .

One he played his best at tigers , two he screwed his brand for life after football by not being a one club player

Wouldn’t be surprised if we target Johnston. We got linked with him last year and he’s still a quality winger, super fast good finisher

Absolutely. He’s the one out of the three who really screwed himself by leaving. He got to the point where he thought he was too big for the club and he would move onto bigger and better things elsewhere. Hasn’t happened. He’s gone backwards.

He showed good pace the other night. Would be an upgrade on the non-Nofo wing. Nofoaluma>Johnston though IMO.

That's funny - I was thinking the same thing about your comment of trading Momo for Addo Carr (who wouldn't be half the player in our team).

Plus the fact he will go to Souffs anyway.

To me JAC has peaked and is coming back to the field. Don’t get me wrong he is better than what we have, but I would not be throwing big money at him and that’s what he will want. The Dogs and South will be offering him plenty. Also I think he comes with some baggage, that will take some handling

JAC wouldn’t be half the player of Momo in our team, big Saturday night or?

JAC is arguably the best winger in the game, SOS and Kangaroo representative and still only 24

One of our winger spots is allocated to Robert Jennings, while we have BJ and Mbye in centres with Talau also - now tell me who would bring more value to our team?

Momo is an average centre who’s played roughly 13 NRL games, and only just a year younger than JAC

The facts are Roosters didn’t value Momo enough, Tigers were happy to loan him out to Melbourne, while Melbourne preferred to play Brenko Lee and Marion Seve over Momo

I think Momo is a decent player don’t get me wrong, but he isn’t anywhere near the level of JAC and it’s not even a debate

We really need to stop overrating our players and being a bit more realistic and unbiased - we have a legit chance to sign JAC he may sign with rabbits the year after (which I doubt knowing rabbits need forwards and are heavily stacked with outside backs with a tight salary cap) but it’s a risk we’re gonna have to take if we wanna be able to acquire the best players in this league bc unfortunately we aren’t in a strong position to compete with the other clubs with marquee signings

100% agree with this.
Not sure if all the trouble earlier this year has affected him bit he sure hasn’t play the same.
The baggage he brings ....see what happened earlier this year and expect more.
