The two players are due to return to their respective clubs next season, however, according to The Australian's Brent Read, Melbourne may look to re-negotiate the deal and involve Addo-Carr.
The superstar winger dropped a bombshell in the off-season when he requested a release from the final two years of his contract to enable him to move home to Sydney where his family reside.
The Storm denied the Kangaroos and NSW Blues star an immediate release, but agreed to let him go after the 2020 season.
There have been strong links between Addo-Carr and his former club the Tigers since the release request was made, and Read told Triple M the Storm potentially ask to keep Momirovski permanently along with another player in exchange for 'The Foxx'.
"This is one that's been simmering away beneath the surface for quite a while now," Read said on Triple M Saturday.
"There's talk about him [Addo-Carr] wanting to move back to Sydney and he's got a deal still at Melbourne for at least another year and I reckon this is going to come to a head pretty soon.
"It's interesting last night Paul Momirovski had such a huge game for the Melbourne Storm, scored three tries and it was the first glimpse of him in a Storm jersey, he was outstanding.
"The Tigers are a club who are interested in Josh Addo-Carr. If Melbourne are going to let him got they'll want a player in return.
"I imagine Momirovski might be a bloke that might fit that build, I imagine they'll want someone else to sweeten the deal but Momirovski certainly gave himself a helping hand with that performance."
Addo-Carr joined Melbourne from the Tigers ahead of the 2017 season and has gone on to become a mainstay of the Blues and Kangaroos squads and with 65 tries in 90 NRL games has firmed as one of the game's most prolific wingers.
While a return to the Tigers has always been considered a strong possibility, with the Tigers having now let go of Corey Thompson, the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs have also been linked to the 24-year-old's signature.
Mbye would be a perfect move.
For mine, Mbye is one of the more capable guys in the backline.
Should be at $800k per season
The money is irrelevant. When they run on the field, it only matters what each player can do. Those decisions weere made by morons no longer at the club, what is done is done. The job now is to get the most out of each player not value. Mbye offers more than most in our backline.
What does Mbye offer?

No way. IMO, Liddle is a keeper for WT. A genuine talent who has not had his chance to shine yet. Great kid too.

Agree with you about Liddle and I want Momo to stay I think that he is very underrated, maybe not the fastest center in the world great defender and also a good finisher.
Momo a definite keeper Bellyache has enough of our players, he can go look elsewhere, maybe some of the Broncos players will be jumping ship if Seibold stays.

I think he is close to fastest in the backline (faint praise) and IMO has the best pass of all of them. Also showed last week that although not reliable probably the best goal kicker we have.
Strong defender too. He’s a very good player, just despised by many because he’s on so much money.

Did you all have a massive night and still drunk. Addo Carr and Harry Grant for Momirovski and Liddle and you don’t do that deal. Lucky Madge is in charge this over rating of our own players is at all time highs. You probably loved Jason Taylor.

Money has nothing to do with it Mbye is a plodder !and offers little , the coach needs a boot up the behind making him the second most useless captain ever .. Woods was the worst if you were wondering .. The clubs been shopping him around for ages.. yes shopping your captain around says a lot about the thinking process at the club don’t you think ..

Momo comes back at the end of the year.
Apart from the known duds we want to get rid of, that Bellamy wouldn't take, why should we give him anybody else. Addo Carr has a release for 2021, if he wants to come here, good. If he doesn't, tough.

In my view, Harry Grant has shown in no no time at all, that he is an elite NRL hooker. If we could snag him long term it would be a real coup for the club. Regarding Addo-Carr, I agree that a good winger won't win games on their own, but I sure as hell think it will help us finish off more movements and score length of the field tries.
@the_third said in [Signing Suggestions & Rumours](/post/1169805) said:Exactly this. They get a cam replacement and a centre both with potential and maybe lower salaries. Both are good players.
We gat a fast winger to finish the backline and keep grant. 2 more positions locked away.
Simkins is the alternative to Liddle in the swap, but I’d rather have him as a back up (again salary cap savings) over Liddell
