Our off contract players for this year are (10)
Oliver Clark, Matthew Eisenhuth, Robert Jennings, Chris Lawrence, Benji Marshall, Sam McIntyre, Chris McQueen, Alex Seyfarth, Dylan Smith, Elijah Taylor.

The only players that look like we should resign are McIntyre and maybe Seyfarth/ Eisenhuth.

Based on our team now and assuming we can steal Harry Grant our lineup next year is better than recent memory.

We would have some depth Liddle, Hoffman, Simpkin, Blore, MCK, Eisenhuth, Seyfarth, Madden, Cini, Bradley, Scolari etc.

In my view we need to sign starters that push some players back in the depth chart to get better.

Personally I’d like to see Talau in the centre’s and Mbye as a 14 with a gun winger on the left JAC or Korobiete would be great.

CHN moving Garner to the bench would make us more formidable.

Long term replacement for Reynolds I’d make a big offer for Matt Burton from the Panthers.

A few changes and we will be a top 6 side consistently.

Based off Tyga’s plans which I completely agree with btw, this is what the line up would potentially look like:

Personally, I think Esienhuth is playing incredibly well I use to be his biggest critic but since he’s been selected he has made me look silly - giving us the same productivity as Twal so wouldn’t mind to see Twal move to prop to allow Huth at 13 as his passing game is better

If his form dips and he goes back to 2019 Huth, I’d simply put Twal back at lock allow Mikaele to start then bring Musgrove/ Garner to the bench

Based off that line up I see us consistently playing finals football

JAC and CHN should definitely be our main targets. We have a lot of guys off contract after this season and the season after, so we need to make sure we keep the best ones. We will lose a few I’m sure but we can’t afford to let all the hard work building up the roster be for nothing

We already have a player like Nofa at the club on the same level as those players many supporters would agree I feel and also the fact he WANTS to be at the club and has proved to be one our best players this year and shows more heart in every game he plays with his dirty runs from our goal line and ability to beat a number of tackles, and the man can also find the try line easily - (one of my greatest fan moments was when the club was in a rock bottom period I think during the Jason Taylor vs Farah days and he scored in the corner with just pure grit while others weren’t even showing any effort at all (cough... Mitchell Moses) and he got up and went straight to the camera and kissed the badge and went ballistic and fired everyone up including myself in a game where no one turned up besides himself and probably teddy lol)

You speak about NSW origin wingers but statically he should be one of the first wingers selected if NSW were picking the team today, we need one winger I agree, however I wouldn’t swap Nofa for anyone bc you can teach skill and he has plenty regardless, but you can’t teach the heart and passion he possesses to have the combination of being skill full and also being legitimately passionate about your club is as valuable as anything and that’s what truely wins premierships

There’s other areas we can spend that money which would be way more beneficial to the club

And this is why we don't play finals footy. We settle for passion over quality. Origin wingers are on less than him but we'd rather have a known, loyal player than try and sign the best players we possibly can. It's a loser mentality.

Until we start making semis ,Origin wingers wont come to WT .for a market price..and besdies,Nofa has outplayed ferguson and a somewhat disinterested JAD this season,and Johnston has only fired up for the first time in years because hes getting punted

JAC has been very good for a very long time. He is a current SOO and Kangaroo rep. He has some personal issues but as far as consistency is concerned, this is Nofoaluma's first year he has performed well but he is on overs, more than a SOO and Aust rep which is madness.


Here is a breakdown of each players attack and defence running metres by season etc ..with no names..which winger would you pick..?

Can you provide the forum with a breakdown/stats for each SOO and Kangaroo game played by Nofoaluma and JAC?

Not sure what that has to do with Club football ..given that SOO and Test Football involve elite talent from all Clubs and are played in 3 games or 1 off tests and would never fit in a NRL cap..not the week to week grind of NRL seasons

I could provide Nofoaluma's Samoan representation v Addo-Carr's if that would help you pick one..

Mate some people just think Nofo is useless, me I can see his value to the team, and if he was on the open market now plenty of clubs would be calling, I want him to stay and reap the fruits of his labour

It’s funny how since the rest of that edge was shuffled and is now strong defensively, Nofo has also been strong. Awful coincidence isn’t it?

He may never be the worlds best defender but there are plenty of wingers who aren’t.

In regard to him being paid ‘overs’, we’ll that has nothing to do with his next contract. He will be worth what ever the highest bidder is prepared to pay. There’s no point releasing a guy just because his previous contract was too high.

Nathan Peats has played 164 NRL games (including finals) and 3 SOOs.

According to your logic he is currently a better player than Harry Grant.

@pawsandclaws1 was using previous rep honour as a basis for a player current value, I was providing an opposing example.

JAC is great when in a great team with creative ball players to create a tiny bit of space for him. Nofo creates something out of nothing by himself and does a lot of early hitups against a set defence. They are very different players with different strengths. If you had Jack Wighton and Turbo as centres like in SOO, I would pick JAC.

With the amount of backs we will have on the books next year wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t go after him at all, but I reckon a Momirovski for JAC swap could be on the cards

Storm have already given Addo-Carr a release for 2021 no matter where he goes, why should we give them anyone ??

They’ve not officially granted him anything and they have every right to choose to only release him to a club that gives them something in return. Storm will play hardball and with the depth we have it’s our best shot of signing him

If there looking for a like for like player Souffs look the most likely with GAGAI OR JIMMY THE JET both would probably improve under Bellyache depending how long he's there for.

Burton would be my pick. Big, fast and a controller. Seen something today about Penrith maybe trying to play him in the back row down the line to keep him (like a John Sutton) but I would go hard there as I see a lot in him
