Yes I’m sure the struggling Broncos would jump at the chance to swap their extremely talented young, game breaking back rower for a broken down 30+ back rower past his used by date ?

Sarcasm lost I guess ?

This talk of Saab being a dud is absolutely ludicrous. A 19 year old kid, with 6 career games playing in a lackluster side...

For sometime now it's been very clear what we need most is a winger with size and speed. Saab fits the bill just as good as any.

With some solid coaching Saab will flourish into a Daniel Tupou like player over the next few years.

I hope you're right and having seen his defence he's going to need it. There's more to wing than just size. Not saying he can't develop but at 20 years of age (he is almost 20), you should have worked most of those things out by then. If we do get him, then let's hope Madge can turn him into a Tupou - that would be wonderful.

Look at Luciano who could be in the running for rep selection. You need to look more deeply than what he is displaying now. Get him in a tough environment where he needs to work hard. Think of basic training in the armed forces.

Yes agree but given our record signing people who are prone to getting out of their contracts early in the past (when we didn't want them to - it seems he has been trying to get out of his?) and the fact that St George aren't pushing him for first grade, I can't really say this gives me great confidence that he is up for the hard work. His highlights are ok but there certainly isn't any of his defence.

If we sign him, would love him to prove me wrong and I hope he does. Will be first to admit I made the wrong call.

I'd say Illawarra wouldn't use an NRL opportunity on a player potentially leaving. Illawarra have the Fergai bros (both Aus School reps) and the young speedster from Molong, Cody. Ramsay to develop.

MAT FEAGAI & MAX FEAGAI are both off contract going by zero tackle.

I have my fingers crossed we can sign them.

see Broncos are looking at trying to offload Jack Bird to keep David Fafita.
Wouldnt touch Bird but they are desperate to keep Fafita

I’d take Katoni Staggs and Reece Walsh - that’s about it

Issako regardless of his poor game against us should be considered as well purely on goal kicking alone....

Jordan Riki, Thomas Flegler & Reece Walsh will do.

If we could swap JR for Shaun Johnson, we would fix several issues: 80% goal kicker and x factor!

If we could swap McQueen for David Fifita it would solve some issues too!

If we could swap Mbye for a cardboard cutout that would solve alot of issues as well.
At least the cutout wouldn't run in, and even if the opposition fell over the cutout that would be a plus on Mbye as well.

If it was up to you Russ half our team would be made of cardboard.

I wouldn't say that Avo - only the Nuffies.

i.e. Jennings, Mbye, MCK and McQueen. That's no where near half Mate.

Currently in the mix with 3 players but all contracted. Back line depth the major concern.
Centre, Wing & a 2nd Row/Centre are there positions.
Sam McIntyre close to signing 2 year extension.
Alex Seyfarth unlikely to be retained, good chance to also be loaned to the Warriors.
Esienhuth was not going to be offered a contract but that has since changed, although 1 year deal likely.

Are the 3 players in question current first graders?

No, but they are very good at self-isolating and can cook.

With a divided Dogs Board desperate to look united before internal elections in 6 months,a new coach who they have to been seen to be supporting, and $3mill to spend next year,I reckon bringing back Reynolds to his spritual home at the dogs will be a very high priority...very high indeed.Plus he wants to go...and cant say that about too many others theyre shopping for.
Burton mite be a fly in the ointment, but Dogs desperatel need experience, enthusiasm and a 6/7
From our perspective, weve had a good look at him now over the past month and apart from enthusiasm there aint a lot of skill there..Walters offers more at one third the price, and and most likely Benji will be around next year on current form.So Reynolds is surplus
If we can get anything near the $750 k were paying him next year we d take it with both hands

There is no way Barrett would want Foran and Grub. My guess they will target someone like Burton and keep Foran. Our only chance for Grub is ESL and with CV19 that is a long shot

All this talk of Burton to the dogs would be dependent on penriff being as weak as us and releasing the guy 12 months early. Can't see it happening.
