Fast wingers turn half chances into tries. Blore is one of the most highly rated second row forwards in rl. McIntyre, being a former centre, can play second row. We have more urgent needs.

I think we probably passed on CHN given how stacked we are in the forwards.

Our issue is talent in the backline

Stacked in the forwards??? Since when?

Our back row depth is:

LL
Garner

and then a massive drop off......Chee Kam and McQueen.

CHN would have been huge for us and meant some actual depth. As it stands, the moment a back rower goes down we call up MCK and McQueen.

Add McIntyre and Blore and we are well served. We desperately require fast wingers.

Yep. We forgot Lawrence too. Aloiai could play there in a pinch.

so the market it heating up and not much coming from Tigers..... I wonder if we will get any signings or just promote internally? I still don't understand why we struggle to get players to come here.

There’s been literally 2 or 3 signings across the whole competition. Hardly heating up. There’s not much coming from a dozen other clubs either.

We also didn’t go after cotric , and now it appears the raiders are getting Curtis RONA , I would love to know what the hell we are going to spend are cap on .

still think SBW would have been ok off the bench for about 150k his maximum pay this year is 300k and they are only allowed to pay him half e.g. half from wolfpack half from roosters or tigers etc

Yep no chance. As I said yesterday it will be Roosters for his swansong and no doubt he will go out with another premiership ring. You can see it coming a mile away, it’s just what these elite players do.

Wasn't there a concept in Rugby League where a player wasn't allowed to sign up a player for considerably less than their market value? A few years ago when JT was trying to get rid of Farah, Roosters offered to pay him like $50k a year, and us the other $900k, thankfully NRL said no. (Who knows if we would have accepted, surely not.)

Blore is a kid coming off a major injury, who has not yet even played a game of NRL.

CHN would have been the type of pick up a semi final team makes. LL, Garner, CHN = best backrow trio in the comp almost.

And never lining up with MCK or Lawry at 12 again.

Back a few pages there was the name of an 18 year old North Queensland Kiwi second row forward we may be chasing. He looks to be an imposing figure and Nth Queensland with Kikau and Taumololo have a good record in recruiting good forwards.

We don’t really have second rowers, or at least quality ones. A few will he let go after thsi year too, CHN would’ve been terrific
