If true about Mbye hopefully we can get rid of Momo too and buy a very good centre.

Momirovski is a very good footballer on a low contract. Ideal player to compete for backline spots and depth. Wouldn’t make any sense to not keep a solid player on a cheap deal. Issue with Mbye is the contract he’d be a great utility as a 14. He has skills and versatility .

Happy to be proven wrong but I don’t think he’s good enough to be a starting NRL centre. As a depth player on a small contract I have no problem, but as a starting centre for us I think we can do much better.

Well he must have something as two pretty good coaches are keen on him. And to tell you the truth .... so am I.
You’re just chasing too many rainbows mate!

Bellamy rates Brenko Lee higher. I think that says it all.

Mbye would be a great addition to the Titans plus he is from QLD.

The new Brisbane team captain.

I thought Melbourne were the new Brisbane team..

Typical of those banana benders none of their teams are gunna make it so they imported one..

I’d be keen to sign Cartwright on a cheap deal would be good depth and on his day he can do some unbelievable things

My boss said to me once about one of my staff

I know he’s a great guy and everyone likes them, they hit targets and is consistent, but are they really going to help you get your goals next year.

After some thought, they were right, I got rid of them

Momo is one of those players for us

Your boss sounds like a very ordinary people manager. Maybe it worked out for you but that had every chance of going horribly wrong. Sacking someone who is well liked and who does their job could have just created a work environment where people were disgruntled (because you sacked a good bloke for no reason) and were in fear of their own jobs (because you sacked a bloke who was performing his job). If you end up with staff who are only interested in getting ahead then they may hit higher targets in the short term, but they'll leave as soon as a better opportunity comes along or, worse still, will white-ant you and go after your job.

So many assumption in your comments.

Biggest is that someone was sacked. They actually ended up in a job that suited them really well and we catch up regularly for beers.

The key point is why settle for mediocrity in the role you are employed in and with people that work for you and with.

Much like us finishing 9th.

So let me be clear here? SBW pulls a $10m contract with the wolves, pulls the kids out of school, travels the globe to take up a $400k contract with the Chooks, who actually had just enough cap space for the deal to proceed with full support and encouragement from the nrl? What’s the missing piece of the puzzle?

To be clear about this....that 10 million dollar deal is dead. The team is dead. The owner is in a ton of trouble. It is not like SBW has turned his back on that deal.

The Wolfpack have withdrawn from the SL and may well never play again.

Addo-Carr being interviewed by Fox. Saying his favourite team is the Tigers, favourite player is Benji, favourite ground to play in is Leichardt, and favourite try was his one on debut for us

I sound like a broken record but the missing piece is a controlling half

Additionally a wow factor fullback and a fast winger.

The fullback or fast winger will do very little if we dont sort out the halves.

A player capable of winning a clive churchill medal is who we need to be looking at.

I dont think that is Brooks or Walters.

Who though..most of those are tied up..

Just anyone but your mate, its time to move on.

In all seriousness though this coach can recruit so whoever he signs basically.

That's not what you said though ..you said a half that can win a Churchill medal..

Curious who you suggest as this is a suggestions thread..

If Brooks goes he goes ..players come and go all the time ..the Club is what is paramount..

Let me spell it out for you.

Brooks is not going to get any better, he is what he is. As he is he isnt a player that will ever step up in a grand final and get us home.

Coach's job now is to go and find someone who can.

Im not talking about signing someone who can do it tomorrow. As he has with all his signing he will survey the field wand recruit a player who has these attributes.

I know Dean Pay would not agree with me but I would look at Lewis from the Dogs Great defence and good gold kicker. Learning his trade at the moment but great potential.

I'm warming to this idea. Dogs are cashed up and on the hunt for a halfback. Prepared to pay overs, so lets trade Brooks for Lewis and the dogs can pay the difference.

Lewis is defensively on par, superior kicking game & he looks to be calm out there with good communication skills.

Seriously, has anyone ever dropped a Brooks bomb? It's like his intention is to make it as easy as possible for the FB to catch. Not to mention his severe low energy personality, that if he walked into a doggy day care, all the pups would go straight to sleep.

You couldn't make this stuff up.

His own coach said Lewis needed more composure and game management on Ch9. Unconvincingly he said it will come with experience .

You talking about the coach who's out of work now

Also the bloke who extended his contract for 2 years? Craig Bellamy thought he was alright when he tried to swap him for Aldo-Carr last January.

Bryce Cartwight...aka the worst signing in NRL history at 750 a year...has WALKED OUT ON HIS DEAL with the Titans.

They have won the lottery two days in a row! This clears his entire salary for next season. An unbelievable stroke of luck.

Either he is nuts (very possible) or he has a deal lined up in Sydney***

Wouldn't believe a word that comes out of that dullard's mouth.

JAC did say he wanted to return to the club after he left for Melbourne. Don’t think we will know anything until end of the year

Madge wouldn't be that stupid surely. He is rebuilding our clubs foundations on hard work and accountability. Two words you wouldn't associate with Cartwright that's for sure.

Walked out or payed out?
Hard to believe any player would forfeit their salary unless something better was on offer

Cartwrights body is shot...maybe hes looking for a medical retirement..maybe Titans have cap to spend??
Shannon Boyd in latter situation too..wants to be a farmer rather than play reserve grade
Good time for Titans to clear the decks if ARL allows
I dont think any Sydney club wld touch either, particularly Madge..well,maybe the desperate Dogs

For a controlling half sign Blake Green on a 1 year contract plus club option year, reasonable cost and doing great job in poor team, also didn’t throw his toys out of the cot when told he wasn’t wanted next year, an attitude that Madge would have noticed.
