Penrith offering Crichton $375k a year for 4 years. I doubt he would leave Penrith but that is a bargain price, I’d throw some money at him come November

Penrith know he’ll get good offers seems like they want to sign him up before November. Hopefully we are smart enough to do the same with some of our guys like Twal and Aloiai

Crighton is a fullback who is playing centre, I agree we could use him

If he is a fullback sign him up. Would be good to have someone that gets to the ball on the full

Keery to re sign with Roosters for a reported $900,000 a year for 3 years
I just don't know where they keep on getting their money from
That's an extra $200,000 a year on his current contract
Keery and Tedesco alone would eat up $2,000,000 a year
I guess when they say SBW will sign and pay roosters $400,000 to play for the club, that is their way of buttering us all up for what's coming
Upgrades upgrades upgrades
Next will be a Teddy extension

It blows my mind how the NRL want an even comp but turn a blind eye to cheating.
There books like fine and they always will be because they are smart in hiding the truth..
Even ex Roosters players joke about side payments, Golf memberships, Kids private school fees, Rent free apartments, etc etc.... One day someone is going to come out and tell all and it will all fall apart..

Anyway not much we can do about it except keep trying and maybe another 2005 year will come along.
I think the Salary cap should be looked at and maybe moved to a points system to ensure talent is spreed around. Rewarding the clubs who develop there juniors as well would be a great start so clubs like Roosters / Souths don't keep poaching the best talent without putting all the work in.

Dont forget the only Clubs found to be cheating in terms of Salary cap have been Tip offs

**The NRL have their Heads in the Sand and 3rd party deals are a blight on the game.**

I hate the 3rd party deals and should be stopped...

I also think the NRL should be paying all the player salaries instead of clubs so they can keep better control of it.

Just being a smart-ass sorry.

You have a point, but I think they should do it all through the NRL and not through the clubs. If Nike wants to sponsor a player, do it through the NRL not the club. Make the manager have to do it through the NRL.

Was that the reason that his pass fell 3 metres short?
I’ve seen him throw a 25m cutout before.

Third part payments should be all on the players it should have nothing to do with salary cap if you play well and present your self well people will want you to advise for there company and you will be rewarded for been a good role model

No I don't mean that.

A lot of people don't trust the clubs to stay out of it. (Well me for one.) Yes, the 3rd party agreements are meant to be external to the clubs, problem is 'allegedly' the clubs are heavily involved, hence the 'alleged' unfair advantages.

Get all club payments and TPA to go through the NRL, (so they will actually be real TPAs) and then focus on reducing the corruption within the NRL itself (because no plan is perfect and I bet there will be dodgy deals done there).

It's not about limiting a player's monies they earn from TPA, but making sure they are done legitimately. And get all players to sign agreements that they won't accept any payments or favours outside of this. Don't police and judges and people in positions of authority have similar rules in place about accepting favours (bribes)?
