Article today JAC auntie In Sydney took her own life and jac keen to get back to Sydney can you imagine if our club were still holding him....

He had “Aunty” written on his wrist tape, so that was the reason. A sad loss for him and his family.

Not sure if this is correct, but on the ABC this afternoon they said that Grant does not have a contract with Storms for next year but has an option in his favour.

Interesting comments in Bellamy's post-match presser.

When asked about Harry being 100% back next season, he couldn't say that - mentioned waiting for Cam Smith, and that Harry is more likely than not to be back, but definitely not 100%. Some chance there...

RE JAC, as per info already on the forum - they want something we're not willing to give. If it doesn't get sorted this coming week, it will wait till the end of their finals campaign.


Really not concerned about JAC at this stage.
Another player wanting extra $ when he has not proven himself at a position.
Offer has been on the table but like Mitchell it won;t happen.

He can't take the offer at this point in time as he is signed for next year.

In regards to you arguments the press is not stating its a formality, the Storm want a replacement player before releasing JAC. They say if they don't get it then he will be in Melbourne nest year.

I didn't state that I heard nothing in the media until you claimed the media said it was a formality, so I said I hadn't heard that in the media. I'm actually usually one of the people critical of the club, but the club can not sign someone who is contracted for next year.

In all honesty there is not much talent available on the market next season unless players want to break contracts which personally I don’t agree with as clubs can’t off load dud signing?

Tamou on reasonable $ good Signing.
Need a whole new spine and some mongrel in our forwards. JAC 50/50 not sure really wants to play for us rather play for Souths.

Maybe a few fringe panthers players if they are looking for an opportunity to play regular 1st grade like Grant did this season.

I was quite concerned at the Tamou signing until I heard the clubs reasons for signing him. I think Liddle will do well at hooker if he can stay healthy and the new rules should suit him. We are incredibly weak in the halves and at fullback, with what we have Mbye has to spend the entire offseason under the highball and Doueihi into the centres. I would love at least one half but there is none available. We really lack that devastating high impact runner but it appears the club is not looking for that at the moment.

Like too see how Brooks plays with Marshall hogging the ball?
If can’t perform move on ASAP.
Mybe don’t rate him much and certainly not captain material on the field, but has played better at fullback prior weeks,
AD a centre swap for BJ and put him in the forwards when mono returns.
It’s really a very unstable squad that Madge has given most weeks with alsolast minute changes.
Real lack of depth shows.
Biggest problem our starts and coaching failed to rectify all season???
Don’t mind losing as long as perform tonight we showed nothing worthy of who we are??
I do ? The coach as well starting to think all bluff but have to be fair with whom he has currently.
Backwards this season with having a loan player as our best performer!!

It does appear that Madge needs certain types players to be successful, I don't think he is a coach that adapts well to allow him to change his style for the players he has. Hopefully he can attract the type of players he needs.

Is a reflection of the coach and his selections?
I would not have played Reynolds tonight??
Coaches should be adaptable Holbrook has worked well with under performing players

Just because your tiny does not mean you can’t tackle Alan langer is one example at origin level.
Reynolds continually ran out of the Line and didn’t tackle at all apart from Air.

I just don't get the sprinting out of the line, he is constantly doing it and if the player beats him any defensive structure is gone.

Put it back to nil confidence in there ability to tackle one on one. Mybe does it a lot as well when playing centre.

Mbye is a little different, he rushes up and in trying to shut down the sweeping plays, Reynolds does it on forward hitups trying to limit their time to build up momentum.

He’s not exactly a great defender either though if you’ve watched the bloke. Add in his size which is a disadvantage, it being his debut and the fact our forwards got rolled and he would’ve been killed.

I understand your observations is around lower grades from prior seasons, if never given an opportunity it’s really hard to give a negative comment about how a player might perform.

Agree options limited but could have not been much worst when another team puts 50 on us.

I’m definitely keen for him to get a run I’m just not sure this game was the right one to put him in

Well I can understand playing against the storm away as well however if you never give players a try when they do mature they look elsewhere.
Just can’t stand Reynolds both as a player and a person and adds nothing on or off the field.
I did feel sorry for his personal life but you tend to wonder what a distraction to the team when it was going on, all about me attitude.
No wonder can’t move him on and bulldogs did not want him back on less $.

If it's a choice between Grant or JAC I'm taking JAC every day of the week. We're well served with Liddle and Simpkin coming through. We don't have any other wing prospects or fullbacks that are FG ready.

They aren't in Grant universe let alone post card ...Simpkin will be at least 2-3 years away ..especially with a year without footy

We have zero speed and fullback positioning & direction is killing us every game.

Lids is fine for next year his punch & direction hasn’t lacked from Harry’s when he comes on.

I hope this is being organised now. The NRL should be providing assistance if required.

The big unknown this season has been the lack of reserve grade being played. WT will need to make a few judgement calls on reserve grade players stuck behind other teams successful first grade squads to make up some of our numbers for 2021 onwards- very difficult without actual reserve grade games being played.

Nothing will happen to the Storm, they are in the Melbourne bubble. If it was a Sydney club it would front page news about the disregard of player welfare. Especially an indigenous player.
