looking at a list compiled by telecrap in regards to unsigned players for next year....the name that stands out and that we're apparently linked with is scott sorensen.

I didn't mind him as a player at the sharks. Not marquee by any stretch of the imagination but good off the bench and for our depth.

Well we are still in need of some players (should JA be shown the door), so any gooduns are welcome.
We currently have 27 on our roster if you exclude JA, looks like Sirro is a no, so we are after 3.

Mbye is our best Fullback, I think Doueihi has the makings of an excellent centre. He looked great playing at 5/8th in the last round so I would like to see him training there in the offseason and given the trials to see how he will go.

I'd love him to be our fulltime 5/8 IF he can perform there tbh, big unit, slippery for some reason even tho his quite slow

He has excellent footwork at and through the line and eased some of my concerns with his passing game during the last round. I just want to see that is wasn't just a one off and he can reproduce that regularly.

You are so right! Watching some highlight reels now, his footwork is off chops. Also his passing, his done like a midfield pass to a winger before, cant remember which game if anyone knows let me know, but that was young benji like.

Another thing im noting is his defence, great tackles, just wish he was a bit quicker

He started throwing a spiral pass in the last round against the eels, before that his passing seemed to be a bit slow and floaty but those spiral passes against the Eels impressed me.

The 2 against Parra are the ones I was talking about, especially the one at 1.52 as that is something I didn't think he had. He seems to pass better left to right than right to left.

He seems to defend ok in the line, but at fullback props cab step him and out run him. Mbye is a much better defender at FB.

This is probably the most agreeable statement I have seen here yet, 100%, he can chase down okay, he makes good defence decisions, but his super vulnerable when his doing FB defence, I really dont want him there tbh
. And this might be an un-popular opinion but I did like mbye at FB last year, and I mean it was his original position - maybe his just played out of position for too long.

You may be right about Mbye just not settling due to his constant positional changes. I realise the popular opinion has him at 6, but imo he’s not demanding enough to control a game .

Altho i wouldnt mind technicallly to see pearce in WT colours, its a band aid fix??? Like we need a long term 6, pearce is not the answer. And jesus please i never wanna talk about mbye at 6 hahaha

Nothing wrong with his athleticism at all - he's fit and has a football brain but he's no speedster. He does have the ability to finish a try though, there's no doubting that. Wing just isn't his position but he can do a job there if required. I think he'll be used in the centres for the time being but I think he'll have his work cut out dislodging BJ and if Roberts puts in over the offseason, he's a walk up starter.
