Has a different running style ay

Seems like he actually picks up speed over 20-30m rather than being explosive over short distance like Tedesco etc

Didn’t see much passing/kicking schools in that piece so I’m guess is more of a runner.

Sent this from a guy in PNG

Edene Gebbie is on a development contract with West Tigers. The PNG Hunters coach Matt Church confirmed that Gebbie is not among the Hunters contingent to relocate to Queensland to participate in the Intrust Super Cup competition.

Church confirmed he is in contact with West Tigers officials to see how can he assist in Gebbie's fitness during the transition.

This should be a welcoming news for Tigers fans who have been advocating for Gebbie's inclusion in our 2021 roster. He gives a lot of options in the backline (fullback, wing & center).

I think it's train and trial not development yet and I did tell him it's Wests..

He will be here for 2021.

Yeah starting on a Train and trial contract, looking at a development contract for 21.

The guy’s 25 and will be 26 for God’s sake. If he gets a development contract it makes a mockery of developing youth. If he was going to develop he should have done it by now.

It is a different situation with him being from PNG, Tyson Gamble was on a development contract with Brisbane this year.

Ridiculous.

Not really, in Gebbies situation he has a lot to work on before he is genuinely ready for a top 30 spot but these are improvements he should make.

Should be able to with quality expertise. Tahu???

I think Tahu willbe very good for him.

Why?

I think Tahu will be a great addition to the club and has a lot to pass onto the younger players. He also has a lot to offer someone living away from family and getting used to living in Sydney.

Gebbie is very rough around the edges and having someone the class of Tahu around will be a benefit to someone like Gebbie.

Reynolds departure frees up the best part of $500,000 in the Tigers salary cap after he was unsuccessfully shopped to NRL rivals last season.

who was signed by former coach Ivan Cleary on a lucrative four-year deal worth around $3 million in 2017

In the same article he says Reynolds is on less than $500k next year and also on $750k next year ($3M/4).

Am I missing something? Was it a front loaded contract?

I would guess that we would still be paying $250k and he is getting $500k from Hull.

Wow, probably hampered by flat ground and boots, but looks impressive ?

I am surprised the PNG women have not been raided for the female game. The ladies usually carry these huge baskets on their heads filled with coconuts from the North Coast up into the Owen Stanley Range. I remember a group of them passing us just pass the choko patch near the old village of Isurava. It was during the first day of the trip to the current Isurava village and many of the blokes were out on their feet some complaining of being tired. Most of these blokes had their packs portered for them which provides income for the locals. They quickly shut their mouths when they viewed the ladies. I admired them immensely with their aerobic fitness, strength and fortitude.

We is soft and so first-world compared - India and Vietnam the same - their women are tough and capable.

Nofa had the better season and wants to be here on cheaper $$$ as well

If you guys just followed the secret you'd realise how to fan. The trick is to attract good things by just perceiving them into existence. Like I did with the 2005 Grand Final run. I just dropped copious acid and went on a several month journey into psychosis and watched Tigers games like they were video games on easy mode. The Tigers only stopped doing well when I reclaimed my sanity. Who's up for another journey into the dark void with me for a 2021 premiership run?

Imo we need to go all out on the next up and coming game controlling halfbacks. Let Brooks run. Was a bit disappointed we didn’t even seem to be in the hunt for Burton. But there will be more. Just need to take time and make the right choice.

Strong rumour on the cosmic grapevine that we're signing Cameron Munster effective immediately. He wants out of Melbourne and has a great relationship with Madge dating back to their time together traversing the wilderness of Uganda.

I am from a small town about 20 minutes from Nana Glen and spent the entire time in question in a 100km radius of Nana Glen. I am not kidding.
