Tbh I wouldn’t be against that. Low risk, can cover 6 and 1. Goal kicker. We need an experienced back up and he’s an experienced backup (pending a pretty thorough physical)

Offer Brandon Smith a truckload of cash, sell the club, state we're on the way up blah blah, tell him he's our hooker but will split time with liddle/simpkin, whichever one we keep, and offload the other to the storm for immediate release.

That will be a bumper offseason.

Reports the dogs are high in for him, but how much cash do they possibly have left? To be fair they've signed some gun players, especially if Addo Carr signs with them

Josh Reynolds admits he was a dud buy for WTs on Ch9. It must have taken a lot of courage to admit it. He is looking forward to playing for Hull.

Can't fault his attitude, I honestly wish him all the best at Hull. Some other players could learn a thing or two off him about departing with grace.

I for one am disappointed for him for how it all turned out. Guy couldn't catch a break, but always tried his hardest and put the club first. He's a loss to our game regardless of how his time with us on the pitch has panned out

Rubbish club like them is so desperate and if they do get both, they'll be in salary cap problems again like they had with woodsy and mbye and eventually had to release them

Make hectic our marquee man. Even if we are covered at hooker, players like him don't come around often. Is great mates with Munster too, he can follow in 2022. We will have plenty to spend

Its obvious that recruitment has been taken out of Madges hands with his imput only as a balance'.They are taking the lead of Storm and Easts and they want top class players not mediocre players.I expect many changes with the current squad over the next few years.

I think you are having yourself on if you think Bellamy, Robinson, Stuart, Arthurs etc. don't have more than a say (just for balance).....

I believe Madge has a big input - if Hartigan etc. say we are buying XYZ and Madge doesn't want XYZ - I'll bet he isn't bought.

Brandon Smith may not be the right fit for us. We won't know if we need a hooker until Jake Simpkin has played at least 5-6 games. By then, it will likely be too late to sign Brandon Smith.

Exactly. Look at the flow on impact at the Storm with Grant's arrival. Imagine losing Liddle or Simpkin

Well, if they signed Smith, it would be a given one of them (prob Liddle) would go.

I'd be upset with that outcome. Liddle is a low maintenance high calibre player, the type every club needs.

Too right. Liddle would probably play for unders provided he feels his job is secure.

Just read the Storms statement..B Smith has just been given permission to explore options with other Clubs from 2022...I thought someone said he'd been released

Yea screams another milking exercise , as they know that he will leave , and they’re trying to get a good replacement without going to market .
Not a priority , especially if he’s just playing 9. The way the storm use him is perfect IMO. If he does play 9 full time , he won’t finish his career there . He will end up in the 13 IMO, like the Dene Halatau’s of the world . Or victor Radley for someone in 2020.
This move to 9 , stuff , shouldn’t be a priority , as he could be a truely elite 13, where as at 9 , he’d be slightly above average IMO.

Happens often enough. Jahrome Hughes was the HB this year, hardly a superstar. The Chad was Cronulla's HB 2016. Ben Hornby was half for Saints 2010.
