For the money we paid Nofa we could of picked up a decent lock

Tamou is a great defender as is Twal, Eiso played fine but he’s been replaced by younger better players I reckon. We’ve got enough middle forwards without him anyway really.

No we couldn’t have. We are already stacked with middle forwards. We have zero specialist wingers.

Too true..but over 3 or 4 seasons watching Mybe from my loungeroom you get a reasonable perspective on who is having a red hot go(eg Nofa),and who isnt...I cld be wrong
Madge of course has the final(and ONLY)say....and my observation is that after forking out $800k or so annually, without any quality alternatives in the midfield,up to now Madge had to pick Mbye.
As for the captaincy,the team is almost totally devoid of "leaders"(which is wht we bought a 31 yo prop),and the only alternative to be captain in 2020 was Benji...and the coach called that one right.There was really nobody else who ran close in leadership qualities to being a captain..except ...well..Harry...!!!
If we get Lawrie early as predicted in media today,I honestly cant see a run on spot for Mbye in 2021...between Joey,JTJ and Momo,weve got the centre position covered ,and we bought Lawrie to play fullback NRL (Im hoping)
Mbye becomes no 14..back up hooker/half/whatever
Mite be the boot up the backside Mbye has needed for some time...?

Especially with the way the game is going in terms of its speed. I believe every good team will be carrying a utility this season. Both Penrith and Melbourne had utilities in the grand final (Capewell and Hynes).
