How old is McInnes? Liddle would have it over both he and Cheese when it comes to sustained quickness out of dummy half, Cheese has it in short bursts.
With McInnes and Cheese you are forking out the big bucks mainly for their defensive capabilities and enthusiasm moreso than their skillset.
Can't recall whether Liddle has much of a kicking game, McInnes and Cheese don't IMO.
Young Simpkin is the million-dollar question in all of this if he is as talented as people say he is. Much like when Robbie first hit the big stage with his well-rounded game....you could just see he was going to be a star.

Have a look at their recruitment and retention over the last few years.... including this years it's worse than ours. They've let a lot of good players go and signed some duds. He's not a player that will let us down if we sign him that's for sure

I think we should look to other options on 5th tackle from hooker. Spread it. I'm no fan of the hooker kicking or running for himself on the last tackle after watching Robbie for that last decade.

Yeah he will be good for them but like madhe I think he will need to mould the squad to how he likes them, so will he a development year for them

I think robbie farah was 19 on debut. Played from mid 2003 . He Spent the following year basically injured. Knee reco. Then Back on the park in 05. He was 21-22. Simpkin (19yrs) in my view is a 2 yr prospect we risk busting him if he is thrown in too early. We need a quality hooker which would complete us.

McInnes would be a huge signing for the club IMO .. a tough uncompromising forward something the pack has been missing for a long time. Play him at lock to start see we’re it all

I don't mind the idea of McInnes. Having him would mean that there would be no need to carry an extra hooker on the bench. That would be a huge plus.
