Forget Shuscter, Manly will never let him go.

Throw everything at him. Packers money, Mybes money etc.

Have you seen more of him then just our trial?

Seriously asking - I knew nothing about him until that trial, and looking good against us doesn't mean anything.

While i agree that form against us puts a question mark on a players form the way he handled himself was enough to make me ignore that fact.

He wasnt just good he was outstanding and in absolutely everything good they did. Chip and chase try, intercept you name it.

Other than the trail only seen him on highlight reels and have read and listened to the hype. Hype including a tug of war with Rugby and now a number of clubs looking at him with decent offers,

From the mole...

Manly's woes are continuing, with the Sea Eagles in danger of losing two of their best young players in coming weeks.

Utility Cade Cust and fullback Morgan Harper - who many believe should have been selected last weekend - are being scouted by rival clubs

https://wwos.nine.com.au/nrl/mole-manly-sea-eagles-contracts-broncos-john-asiata-injury/75b7ffa2-bc28-44b0-9e6a-4723b3f68913

Morgan Harper is quality. I'd even consider cust. Harper is the outside back I would chase

West Tigers urgently need a back-up fullback and Morgan Harper fills the bill.

So the guy is upset he isn't selected to play FG, but he'll happily come to the struggling Tigers to play second-fiddle?

That's a very literal post. Of course you wouldn't offer that much.

Any comments on his talent or you just looking to pick holes?

How old is he? And what hold on him do the Roosters have?

Think he just finished highschool at Shore or one of those posh rugby schools last year. All the talk was on Suaalii but this kid was highly rated too. Roosters rate him highly but they there's no room for all of Walker, Keary, Suaalii, Lam and him in the same squad.

He'd probably be under contract for a couple of years but unlikley on an NRL contract, just one of those brown paper bag contracts. A number of league and union clubs were sniffing around him but Roosters don't want to lose him.

If Laurie is injured or transferred to the five eight position then Harper would come in very handy and may even put pressure for a steady fullback position. He won't get that with Trobijevic playing fullback for Manly.

Harper is a nuffie. He has had exactly one good game, coincidently against us. Poor defender, and small.

Dont need any more fringe players,

We're trying to get rid of ours.

The Tigers have depth in most positions and now we need to have our stars (I'm calling Brooksy out) to fire and to add top shelf player or two to this improved squad.

woooooooah there... hahaha he definitely hasn't destroyed anybody. Wow. Watch the game again. He was fine in attack and AD carved him up in defence. Watch the game again. Without Harper we don't beat Manly. I mean, Douehi ate him and Hopoate for dinner.

I believe we've had a go at Schuster, Cust and Keppie before and they all turned us down.

Laurie is a tough player. He took that hit from Papali and got right back up. You get the feeling he is going to be a very good player and great influence at WTs.

Schuster looked great against us and in every game he has played. Harper did scoreagainst us from memory (maybe a double?) , but he is a nuffie.

Yeah that’s the one. Just checked his playing weight too, sheesh 105kg for a 5/8? Imagine that skill level on an edge or at lock (where I assume he’ll eventually end up)

Don't take offence so easy

This kid has barely been seen and hasn't really played against the big boys in the NRL
One or two hits as a welcome to 1st grade will likely slow him down
Sure he may become a good player in 1st grade but we currently have many young players and relatively inexperienced players in our squad
I think a player like Brandon Smith is far better for our team
He will lead by example something a few of our players lack
Also Adam Reynolds would be a great get

I think we lack the experience and that is what we should be targeting

A few points.

The emoticon does not appear on my pc, where i mostly view this form. Thats why words and how they are put together are more important.

Ok as far as copping a couple of big hits slowing him down. To me thats just assuming the kid is weak. Ive seen nothing to suggest he is weak.

Its all well and good to have experience. Those players you mentioned are just fine but our coach has been building this thing from the ground up. Recruiting top line talent who have yet to play NRL. Volkman fits that bill.

Really thing it just comes down to seeing the talent. Volkman is a generational talent and whatsmore is very get able with a decent offer right now given his situation at the Roosters. That is why i suggested him!
