We have a good fullback in Tui….I can't fathom why quite a number on this forum are consistently knocking him....

What I wonder is how many have actually seen Tui play at fullback. My recollection is that he was a very good fullback and often split the defence with pace and a great step. I think that, with a few games under his belt he will be a revelation. As far as RTS is concerned, why don't we just wait and see if he comes here, something of which I'm very doubtful.

Having said that, I'll probably be shot down by Pascoe's looming announcement!

A very good fullback who could never crack a starting spot in the Warriors first grade side. One has to ask why, if he was that good?

Answer ….Warriors are a bigger basket case than us..Steven Kearney and the bloke before Andy McFadden who is still the assistant coach are Imbo's

Tony Iro's falling out with the Warriors had a lot to do with the previous coaches selection policies and the way they treated the youth like Lolohea coming through..

They had Hurrell playing reserve grade too

Also he had only just turned 22 hen he left the Warriors and he had played 52 games of FG, 47 starting and 22 of them at fullback - I'd say playing fulltime NRL FG at fullback at 19 and 20 is bloody good

Clearly you aren't familiar with Stephen Kearney.

Because the coach was Kearney - nothing further need be said.
Just another reason why RTS is unhappy.

Alot of belief in Tui. Im still unsure, but if he does the job at FB it will be the best outcome for us. So Im cheering him on.

I'd strongly suggest people lower their expectations re Mr 29…

NBWT is saying the same thing on Twitter mate. If it's a depth player, I would expect an announcement soon, as people are starting to get their hopes up and WT management seems to be attuned to their public perception.

I'm trying to read more into Pascoes comment re 30th player.
Seems to me no. 29 signing will be minor and save $$$ for last spot depending on which clubs have to let players go.
No. 30 just might be a signing to be excited about.

Could be anyone though.

Hi folks, I joined the forum today after months of viewing, love the Tigers, I’m hoping we are the team chasing the English winger Jermain McGillvary - we’ve had some great black wingers in Larry Corowa and more recently Josh Ado-Carr and Marina Koroibete - which we meekly handed both over to the Storm only to see them flourish.

We could have gotten French, but he would have cost 600k. Parra are supposedly 800k under the cap if you can believe it.
