Vaughan made a huge mistake, but the other players could of easily just said they weren't going to go to the BBQ. Vaughan didnt make em go the BBQ they chose to go

He's made 3 mistakes allegedly. Thats the reason he was terminated. Add to that, after he was caught this time, he organised a zoom meeting amongst the players so they could all get their stories straight before fronting the integrity unit. Concocting untruths as a version of events never ends well in any field.

I am not trying to defend Vaughan just pointing out that the other players chose to go to the BBQ when they knew they shouldn't have gone

If you want to try ...have 3 major incidents that you are mainly to blame for where you work , where you have breached major WH&S policies ...you'll probably end up unemployed .....

I've worked at my job for 24 years and last year got a warning for breaching a major WH&S policy ...and all I was doing was trying to help out the manager the next day as they had a newish staff member on ....OK I fell off a ladder and displaced my wrist lol ..but rules are rules and I shouldn't have done what I did ..risk isn't always the reward

Which ever club does sign him. You’d be wise to pay him 2/3rds if his contract year for that year as there’s no point paying him to sit out a penalty.

Which ever club does sign him. You’d be wise to pay him 2/3rds if his contract year for that year as there’s no point paying him to sit out a penalty.

His suspension ends last round this year so any contract would be 2022 onwards IF he is approved by the NRL to return.

Since the Marina Go era (NRL governance changes) came in there is no way we would sign someone like Vaughan after this incident. It’s like we have to be governed to the highest standard in a theoretical sense but the result is the falling away of the culture that bound the club together (the whole What does our club even stand for argument). We sit here with a poor roster that we can’t change but a player like Vaughan will just go to the sharks on a cheap deal and improve their squad.
