Yeah I’m not sure he has been in Balmain system the whole time. It mentioned he joined HCC in 2019 and played HM with Balmain progressing to SG ball / Flegg the following year.

His old man was a Tiger. But that article with the Hartigan quotes also stated that Newcastle and Canberra had offered him a deal for the following year.

I hope Gildart improves dramatically, from what i've seen of him he won't come close to cutting it in NRL. His defence is terrible.

Nobody (I think I am correct) has ever said on here that he is, or will be a marquee signing.

Having said that, I think he COULD be an ok signing for not heaps of dough.

only made his debut very recently. 18 year old in the mould of a Wighton, Doueihi or even a Matterson or Sironen when they first came into grade. reasonably evasive from what I saw, decent footwork as well. right now, Super League or KOE Cup is where he's at right now by the looks of things, but could probably develop into a solid first grader.

in terms of us going after him, I doubt it. Doueihi has the 6 jumper locked up you'd think and if he doesn't, Hastings, Brooks or potentially Laurie down the track may well fill it. doubt it's us chasing him.

if there's a player that I like from Huddersfield, it's Jake Wardle, but he had interest from Melbourne and opted to re-sign.

If we are indeed interested we need to pull our fingers out as Robinson has confirmed they have spoken to him and we are not the kind of club that can ask a player to hang on a few months until we get our shit together.
I am sure the club is working overdrive behind the scenes but with all this Covid stuff and everyone based in QLD I would of thought we would have grab someone by now. There is only 4 games to go in the season and if i was a player I would want my future sorted sooner rather than later so fingers crossed we get and announcement of a signing or 2 soon.
