Fullback - Manu
Centre - Doueihi
5/8 - Laurie
Half - Hastings
Lock- Peachey
Hooker - Brooks
14- Liddle/Simpkin

What do we actually have to lose. 9th spot?

Least they would play a bit of footy.

WE would have to lay out at lest $950,000 for Manu.

As i said what do we have to lose

That's like 100k more than our current fullback. Good value in my opinion lol

Great news. Any word on Egan Butcher? I’m really keen on this one 🤞.

Read reporting Drags after Kikau

They'll probably overpay him. Hasn't impressed me this year but a silly team will give him $750k+

He’s a bit of a flat track bully. I agree he’s been pretty ordinary this year.

Amazing.
Would require the powers that be to actually get out of the chairs and do some recruitment though, which they've seem awfully reluctant to do.

Hope your source is having a go for Lomax where counting on him !

Waiting for an update : @tigerballs ?

Lomax has sought legal advice to gain a release. He definitely wants out. That's all I know. Whether it happens or not is up to the lawyers but it is common knowledge amongst player agents and everyone is sniffing around, confident he'll win his case. Whether we sign him or not is speculation but he apparently has a liking for Madge. Unless the Roosters make a bid for him as a Manu replacement, we might be a big chance.

Fingers crossed... I just don't know how the Roosters can offer what he is currently on let alone come close.
They have 2 players on over 1m alone in Teddy and Keary yet we have all this money free and struggle to resign JTJ.

Best news this century.

I’m over the moon with Mbye gone. As good as a signing as we get an additional roster spot for next year. Putting my money on a Butcher signing this week.

I think Gutho is in a bit of a Josh Reynolds like category. Everyone talks about his competitiveness, and he's definitely a good player, but he's not that fast or that big or particularly skilful.

I wouldn't spend big money on him and I think he suits the Eels. Not sure he'd be all that impressive for us.

Is he a really consistent last tackle kicker? No. Does he organise a backline? No. Is he like Latrell Mitchell or Turbo in just being such an athlete that he can single handedly change the game? No.

So he's a clever, scheming, quality support player who plays really hard, and that sort of player would be great, but you don't want him as your big money signing. Just my opinion.

Inclined to agree. I wouldn't think him to be in the top 5 fullbacks in the game. I'd rate Turbo, Teddy, Pappy, RTS and Latrell all in front of him. I would rather chuck a million at Manu if I was going hunting for a big name back.

Does anyone know much about a guy called Tony Sukkar from our 2021 Balmain Tigers Harold Matthews squad.
Souths forum are talking him up and wondering if he is under contract or not and if he goes ok.

Lomax coming here and the overpaid hack going to the drags would be the highlight of the year for me.It would be a massive improvement to our backline

This is a very complicated situation, Jonesy. You know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you's

Agreed. Plus Gutho is a knob. I hate his lame dance. It is my dream to see us beat Parra in a GF and then big Luciano does that dance in front of their lame fans. Then, whilst on our victory lap, Luke Brooks chucks a signed ball to Mitchell Moses.

Lomax > Manu - one looks amazing in a terrible side, one looks very good in a great side. Lomax will also cost 2/3 as much

Sad thing is when Moses was jumping ship we tried to get Gutho in a swap. Parra said no and we let Moses go anyway. We should have tried a bit harder.

We still had Teddy then so it wasn't a dire situation. Then Teddy dogged us and we missed out hanging onto Pappy and a quality replacement. Honeydicked us big time.
