Disappointing to see a number of our best performers in the undefeated flegg side are not signed up.

Ogden, Hill, Pole not signed for next year (yet) and we’ve already lost Tuifua.

Pole has been signed for next year, Ogden’s manager met with Hartigan last week and Hill is highly rated by the club

From what I've heard Hill has literally been offered a bag of peanuts to stay at the club next season and there are other clubs now circling as they see an opportunity.

I would love to see Hill stay - the kid is talented and we lack serious depth on the wing, and he's a genuine finisher. I'll be filthy if the club don't retain and the imbecile in charge of retaining juniors should be out the door.

Not sure - not impressed with him either way so far.

Nor I. There has been some good young recruits come in (e.g Stef) but recruitment direct into the NRL side has been poor. Can't give Hartigan big wraps on what has been achieved to date.

I believe @Aubanon is in the know...
Hopefully they're re working the offer to keep the kid.

We can't keep losing our up and coming best.
Sick of watching most games and saying, "oh, another Tigers junior..." as they're successful elsewhere.

I think there's a good crop of the current lads we need to stick with.

If I was him, I'd chase the dream in the UK.
Make some money and enjoy a new country before retirement.

I'd say we have some options...
Pascoes approach is waiting.

Await clubs to have cap pressure or player unrest and then we strike.

Hoping for some action during the off season.

Agree. There was comments a couple of weeks back where 'someome' was signing players without consulting the coach ? Seems like everything seems to circle back to Hartigan, just my speculation.

Hi guys, Can any of you guys close to the club confirm Luke Brooks was given permission to negotiate with other clubs and has agreed to join Canberra from 2022, 23,24. I heard this last night from someone involved with junior reps (not at tigers).

Doubt it I think a super league club swap would be the only chance for Brooks

There’d be a few clubs that would be interested in Brooks I reckon. I’d have no issue with him going but we’d better have someone else lined up.

Hartigan does the majority of negotiating contracts when signing new players or extending existing ones, Madge has a say but Hartigan is the primary negotiator in nutting out a deal.

I do also think though that players not wanting to play under Maguire plays a big part in lack of quality signings.

So another spot open for another junior as we cannot sign current 1st graders.
