I guess if you look at it smoking gun is right that we will be signing a player soon

Who is the ?

We have till the end of March to sign number 29 which isn't long
We have $1.4 million to buy two players but only need to sign one

Maybe 1.2 million for a top class player if available
Someone may just chase a pay rise and we may land a big fish
I here suli might be available soon
Probably real cheap to

Every club has to spend 95% floor of 9.1m. That means 8.65m minimum if we have 1.4m. Available we have to spend 950 this year minimum.

still have 2 spots left so we could upgrade a development player and will have enough for a big signing

Ask the Lurker

James Hennessey: What’s the story at Penrith? Any more players leaving? Will Cleary leave to be under Ivan?

The Lurker: Players don’t like the coach and they don’t like Gus - plain and simple. I think Cleary will join his dad at Tigers first chance he gets.

Let's hope the lurker is right

For once I'm hoping the Lurker is on the money and not just reading the Nathan Cleary thread on this forum 😄

Griffin is an AH of the highest order

Is this the same Lurker that said James Tedesco would remain a Wests Tiger..

Can we please fall out of love with Tyrone Peachey, we have some size now, this is rugby league - not dwarf throwing.

Not to mention the fact he has already signed with another club.

Pascoe is smart. We'll frontload a few guys contracts, buy/upgrade some low cap players and save it for RTS and NC for a premiership tilt in 2 years time.

Frontloading and backloading is what has got us into a mess in the past. Farah case in point. Rather just do it without it. Nathan Cleary is priority no 1\. RTS is secondary as far as im concerned.

Frontloading I am ok with, backloading not so much…

Oh dear, classifying frontloading and backloading as the same things. Glad you aren't running this club.

I consider them the same.

Frontloading comes back to bite you when the players contract is up for renewal but you’ve already spent the cap.

Up the Tigers….........

In any event I don't see a rush for us to sign someone. Sounds like Sam McIntyre has been killing it at training so if he gets upgraded, good luck to him, means he's one to watch out for.

Tyrone peachey would be a good pick up.

It seems likely he'll be at the Titans in 2019\. Not sure where he'd really fit with us either.

Yeah I heard the titans were the favourites, I’m not sure either tbh Nelson but I like the way he plays his footy.
