All this discussion is useless if the players have no heart and continues to give up in games.

This is a culture issue.

Maguire is the leader and should be driving cultural change. I guess it's only been 3 years and according to many the culture is still garbage. What does that tell you?

TBH I think it tells us we desperately need to get a sports psychologist to be able to get inside these players heads to be able to press the right buttons to have them not give up and keep trying when the scoreboard is not the best. The methods used by Maguire of yelling or silence doesnt work.

This the is best suggestion which would really pay dividends. Many players lose confidence and interest as soon as Madge starts screaming at them/the group. Maybe Madge thinks he is doing the right thing but it certainly is not.

Madge has to change his ways and instead of lambasting the team he should turn to encouraging them.

Pascoe hartigan lee sheens are all leaders. The board. Leaders.

With the exception of sheens the rest are a rabble and are as responsible for the culture.

I would think only making the playoffs 3 times since the merger over 20 years ago would put that many holes in your theory even a Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon supporter would find it hard to believe it especially considering 50% of the teams make it every year

When Suli put his head down, he made things happen...

Only issue is, he doesn't appear willing to do that for 80 minutes. Brilliance like that when the game is already lost is pretty pointless.

Another one due for a haircut and a kick up the backside. This is first grade not forcey backs at the local park with the 27 district boys.

Turn it up. He’s a fantastic defensive centre, he’s just a bloody kid, him and Saab in their first KO finals game in their first full season in the comp. will only be better next season and beyond. Only thing he needs to work on is his hands. Him, Parker and suli would walk into our team
